Thanks so much for the review! Appreciate the feedback. Just some clarifications: During setup the races will start with 2 random cubes each. This allows for the action to start quicker. Race actions are resolved for each action type. So you would resolve all the Research actions and then move on to Military (your way was our initial process but the new way allows for a little more planning, but doesn't radically change much). The Event cards you resolved Immediately but they were round end events (we tried to eliminate "gotcha" style events that you can't react to/plan for). When you "spend" cubes for your actions, those actually go into the cup/bag and not back to supply. Immunity takes place the following round so don't remove the cube that first time, it just "moves'' to the right. The race gets a full round of Immunity Your concerns with the rule book are well founded. Zer0-X is a simple to play yet complicated to explain game and we struggled with that. The aspect of fiddliness is also a valid concern. The races can acquire many research abilities with different timings. It makes it a challenge to keep track of but in the end we felt it was worth it for uniqueness/variability for each game. Depending on what race gets what and/or combined with other research they already have can make the game play radically different each time. Also I didn't see on your setup but in the files there is a special card that helps you keep track of which race has abilities and when they are triggered. Great job with the Trade action! That's the most complicated of the race actions and you summed it up well. You also stated the aspect of time well, Zer0-X presents some really brain burning moments and depending on how much thought process you want to put into puzzling out those decisions greatly affects game length.
