Okay, so from the sound of her Q wording, it seems like the Q active might be a skillshot, as it stops at the first enemy hit. Making it likely not targeted and more like an Ezreal Q. Meaning she plays a bit like Graves in the sense that her attacks can be body blocked. This does make the punch through on her E quite important in teamfights, not just to damage multiple people, but to actually be able to hit the desired target. It also appears like her stealing shields is that she converts any damage she does to shields to an equivalent shield for herself. So she doesn't quite cause the enemy to lose their shields. Basically it's not: "your shield? My shield" but rather "your shield? Our shield". So she benefits a lot from big long lasting shields, or shield spam. But she's not as good against decaying shields. It's not a shield breaker effect like what Renekton, Blitz have. Edit: another note in regards to her passive and her ult. If a lot of the enemy have shields up, for instance due to a Karma R + E her ult could basically give her a massive shield from hitting all of them. While I am not certain how big the damage on it will be, likely not too high due to range and also the buffs. But I think they specifically gave it that range and damage so she can gain shields from the enemy team as a whole, as using her ult means you're intending to fight and engage them. For which a big shield would be quite handy.

You know what, I was initially disappointed with the whole “Wacky, wisecrack kid” angle that keeps occurring, but this champs abilities are simple in a good way and seems pretty fun. ESPECIALLY that shield absorption. Now…I’m gonna need to see the cooldown on that E and the bonus states and scaling for that R. Those are the deciding factors for if this champ will be fair or not.

As a design the champion has clear conditions under which her abilities work which is a cool concept, i'd hate it if she just passively got a shield or move speed for just existing. There's some counterplay to her though considering the state of League at the moment and the huge issue with absurd burst damage from every champion in the game she might be unbeatable due to such a high mobility and the ability to jump over terrain

it's the same concept as talon's E, except talon's E has a shorter cooldown but cannot dash over the same wall multiple times. talon also has two more dashes, so that's also there. if zeri turns out to be best in the botlane, she's not gonna be very good. if you can take her jungle or mid though, she could be a really good roamer with that E, much like talon is. there's also the fact that you need to aim your basic attacks, so good luck hitting akali when she's combo-ing you lmao (or literally any other mobile assassin)

People are going like: oh she is simple! She's overloaded asf, idk what that's all about lol. A dash that resets while fighting and can literally make you go over walls and GRIND THEM (it's not shown but walls that she cannot jump she will grind along. She gets to botlane stupidly fast). A q that turns into a choke point obliterator if it touches a wall. An auto that is treated as an ability (this is huge; eg. Lich bane) and can pass enemies. Ap scaling which is higher than AD scaling, and once again with the auto being an ability it's gonna hurt. Steals shields and gains movespeed with them (it's gonna happen every match since shielding supps are popular and either team can pick them and zeri will benefit regardless). Her R buff lasts forever as long as she keeps hitting in a teamfight and gives her stattik but better, movespeed and attack speed. What?????

Maybe the shield drain is capped at like 30% or 50%. And the wall jump has a high cd like 20+ seconds. Her Q seems pretty strong (in theory since you do 2 AAs worth of damage instead) but almost impossible to be efficient when you have higher attack speed.

The shield drain is static 60% of her damage dealt steals the shield, so she can steal any size shield just only 60% of it. Wall jump has 23-17 second cd, but it gets reduced by 1.5 for every auto and spell she does so it seems pretty stupid. Looking at her kit notes on surrender@20 it seems like what will be bullshit is she has basically permanent bonus movement speed and slow, but I guess we will see when she is actually added to the game, I'm sure she will get tweaked.

Making a dash that relies on a certain mechanics to reduce cooldown isn't a bad idea. What bugs me is how some abilities looks like a straight upgrade from an existing ability of older champions. That W is so similar to Jinx's W but has whole new feature on top of it. That E works like any dash but while other champs are worried about dash-fails over the walls, she can just Taliyah-over them for no reason...

Considering early level attack speeds on adc's, you're likely to only auto a shield two to three times before any shield expires. But late game, for sure this will scale incredibly well and will likely need to be tweaked down the line.

her Q as aa just feels like a different approach to Kalistas passive which also makes her unique as an ADC. Jhin has 4 shots. Graves has two. Kalista can mini dash by auto attacking, and Zeri uses her Q to auto. Its a unique ability overall. Although the visual effects is a copycat of Jinx's powpow.

Her Q is basically Jinx Q, just not Jinx Q, her W is a Jinx W with a Lux R upgrade, her E is totally fine Imo, basically a straight line Talon E, and her R is just a downgrade Vayne and Blitzcrank mix. 2-3 passives isn't even that uncommon. Vayne has two passives, Teemo has two, Kindred have 2 (W heal), Rek'Sai has 2 (or 3 if you count her R mark which is considered a passive effect), Pyke, Rakan, Xayah, Thresh, Jhin, Kayn, Kog'Maw, Shen, Senna, Swain, Yone, Kassadin, Sett, Aatrox, Zoe, Darius (more or less), Irelia (more or less as well), Graves, Mordekaiser, Jinx, Warwick... This list might go on for a while. And none of these are even from last year, who all have 2-3 passives.

She's gonna be broken with Yuumi because their passives together basically grant infinite movement speed, and Yuumi is herself a great support for adcs that want ms and to risk a bit. Also I feel like her W is underwhelming. It looks like it was made to be something like kaisa's W, but it's pretty useless since its cast time is so long and you don't want to interrupt your Q+AA spam. It would be better if it had CD reduction if you hit champions, even only the non-wall form, or if it had reduced CD based on AAs landed on champs (smth like Yi's Q).

Your improvement ideas for her w wouldnt help whatsoever with the problem you talk about - not wanting to interrupt Q + AA spam. Decreasing the cd on hitting or on AA would have you just breaking your Q + AA spam for it more often. Its purpose is to poke, with the wall interaction added for better poke while roaming/ midgame. Finally something normal. Her Q is a really cool idea and i thought of a concept where basic Attacks are on an ability too (Cassiopeia Kind of does it too) Her Ult reminds me of old Volibear but in updates
