Why has he taken 10 as vernier scale reading? Its 5

We are taking divisions not counting. Numbers are 5. But divisions are 10. For example. Between 0 and 1. You can see. It is devided by 1 line. So total number of divisions are 10

Why do you take 0.005 as the minimum reading on the caliper when on the caliper it clearly states that 0.05 is the minimum reading on the caliper???

We took readings in cm, so we have to convert least count.. 05mm to. 005cm

Hi Aysha. At 8 it will be 16. U can spot between 7 n 8. there are 2 divisions. So total divisions are 20. There are 2 div between 0 n1.. n So on

Bcz its(. 005 cm) least count or vernier constant.. We have to multiply it with vernier scale reading
