You should not be using olive or vegetable oils on cutting boards or utensils. Those can both go rancid also. As a woodworker that has made many of both of those the best is to use mineral oil. Another standard is a compound of mineral oil and bees wax, but straight mineral oil is easier as it is even available in your local drug store. The beeswax combo is not only safe but it leaves a very classy feel to the wood that buffs up well.

I've had a tremendous amount of new Ebay buyers and have had no negative issues. Their money is as good as anyone else's, and so far it's been good. I try to make their new buying experience as good as possible so they'll come back to Ebay again.

I won't ship anything to anyone who has a old buyer account over a year old with zero feedback anymore. I just got scammed for the second time by a zero feedback buyer and I've never had a issue other than zero feedback buyers with old accounts. I just got screwed for $800 from a buyer who has zero feedback with a 1.5yr old account. He kept messaging me and being really nice before the purchase. Then when he received the watch he said I sent him a empty box and contested the charge with his bank and eBay. Of course wonderful eBay sided with him and his bank he was obviously a scammer and knew exactly what he was doing. I will never deal with a 0 feedback buyer again who has a fairly old account with no feedback

Zero feedback buyers can make you nervous. But I have realized during this Q4 that a lot of them are just people who are only able to get that "hard to find" gift on ebay, but have never shopped on the platform (not scammers). I just ship the item and hope for the best.

Have to consider the cost of packaging. Might save money on each shipment if you use cheapest method. I find opting to do priority mail is cheaper at end of day since priority boxes are free.

I don't think I've ever had an issue with a zero feedback. The warning signs for me are lots of odd questions before purchasing or a very long unusual user name. Though I still always send out, just always make sure I send tracked.

First time buyers are normally the best. They typically buy for asking and don’t ask a ton of questions. Generally they are seeing your listing on google or elsewhere. Mercari and eBay both will advertise your listing.

Just had a new zero-feedback buyer purchase a $250 item. I shipped it right away with eBay purchased label. As soon as the item was away, the buyer opened a chargeback. Thankfully I was able to get FedEx to bring it back. Be careful out there.

I've had more scam attempts from people with 100+ feedback in the last 6 years than I ever had an issue with people with 0 feedback.

9 minutes in...when referencing "death pile" - because I work almost every single day (I try not to work on Sundays but it happens occasionally) I don't reference inventory not-yet-listed as a death pile. Of course, if a person is only buying and not listing - in that case, YES, it is a death pile. We primarily source during summer months to take us through the rest of the year. Living in northern Michigan, it matters. By April we'll have our unlisted inventory depleted and be ready for the season of sourcing. It is thrilling to know when blizzards or ice storms hit - we get to continue listing without the worry of where we will travel to find inventory.

Hello Lonnie and Candice from the Marianas (Guam), enjoyed your videos for almost 5 years now, using usps ground advantage has its pros and cons, i also sell on ebay, if i were to ship something heavy (magazine lots) i would ship flat rate, if i were to use ground advantage it would take about a month by surface, if you look at pirate ship it would tell you when the package will arrive, i wouldn't think the buyer is willing to wait that long. i just shipped few items over 10lbs using priority to the east coast, cost the buyer about 60 dollars. If the sale is for more than I’m comfortable losing i always call the buyer. I tell them who I am and that I’m calling about “the item”. I tell them we are just verifying that they placed the order as there is so much fraud these days. You’ll get a good feel for “who” they are from their response. It also lets them know you know how to get in touch with them. I’ve never had a bad experience doing it.

I have had an issue with a new buyer buying an expensive item and claiming it didn’t work. It was returned tampered with and I had no recourse (apparently). With that I sell to new/0 feedback buyers regularly, I’m just hesitant with the pricey stuff…

Mom and pop resellers make a lot of resellers and those few a month that now go USPS instead of UPS. Guarantee that UPS is taking notice, that’s why they started that new ground service hybrid that they take it most of the way and then hand it off to USPS for the final delivery.

Its only an issue when they purchase and then ask for info to an offsite email. I report them and cancel the sale. If they have zero feedback but pay for the item, to me their money is good for me. If it was a graded comic book maybe id be cautious but under $50 I wouldnt stress over it.

Ive been trying to get hands on on a T480s thinkpad on ebay for a week now. had an old account from way back but only bought one thing by bidding. Then apparently eBay deleted my old acc earlier this year bc of inactivity n i didn't see the memo. So i made a new acc last week. I've had two sellers of the same product refuse to sell now, idk how but the last one immediately delisted the item (from my POV at least). None of these are bid items and are all 'buy now'. One of two made offers. The last one's latest listing said he had 10+ of then in stock. So why the actual heck did they reject? Is it me (literally & figuratively), or is it them who're fishy & worried bc they be ill-gotten & they are watching for 12? 😅

My wood cutting board came with instructions to use food grade mineral oil (also called liquid parafin). It is tasteless and odorless. Instructions said even vegetable oils can go rancid.

Just had one, gut was telling me to cancel. Item was vintage, all photos clear. Buyer received and barraged us with threats about a refund because there was a small smudge stain which was photo shown. Threatened to report us and so on. Then didn't want to return the item. Ugh .... Buyer had 0 feedback but has done this before obviously. We had to refund and sent label for return. We'll see 🙈. Merry Christmas

Any threat of leaving negative feedback for a refund is against regulations. The moment they issue any threat of that type or most types puts the seller in the drivers seat. eBay will remove the feedback and close any cases in seller favor. It’s happened several times to me over the years and the outcome was always in my favor.

I'd sell a $10,000 item to a zero feedback buyer and not bat an eye. People should look at the kind of item they're selling rather than the value of that item. Your typical scammers are the buying an item for a part and return it as non-functional or the switcheroo... So sell items aren't usually easily parted out (electronics being the biggest culprit). In the end $130 really in the kind of value that would be worth worrying about.

No particular series. If you can find the various building in good condition, they sell fairly fast and for good money. They are kinda tricky to pack though.

I’ve had a lot of newbies buy recently, strange usernames, like jumbled punctuated letters. I believe these are guest accounts, haven’t had any issues. Hardly ever get fb from them. Still chuckling at the product you shouldn’t use for knife handles! 😂

Return To Sender Package: Dealing with one of those this week. Post Office says they left a Notice of Delivery Attempt, rather then leaving the package and the buyer waited about a month to let me know they never got the package. They let me know via an Item Not Received Case, of course. After it stayed unclaimed at the post office for 3 weeks, the Post Office sent it back to me RTS. Shipping was about $20 and now the buyer wants a full refund, including the shipping. I told eBay I'd refund the List Price (but not the shipping) since the shopping cost was consumed when the carrier brought it to the delivery address. Called eBay twice on the issue and got 2 reps with completely different advice and opinions about what eBay will do once the case times out. So we'll find out tomorrow how eBay adjudicates it.
