Zero-K 1 vs 1 | But I Had More Dudes! Therxyy (Cloak) vs RiposteR (Shield)

Zero-K Pro 1 vs 1 where we're casting a 1 vs 1 between Therxyy as cloakbots and RiposteR as shieldbots. RiposteR will engage Therxyy with their commander but they're surprised they lose it. They had more dudes, they should've won right? Therxyy will also get great Imp shots which is a great counter to a shieldball.

Using recon to soak damage and jump out is risky but for players like therxyy very worthwhile! With ticks I assume you mean imps (probably the old name for them) but those were indeed great shots. The only questionable thing for me was why use iris rather than conjurer, you didn't need the large radius and conjurer is cheaper in both metal and upkeep.

@@64-Bit_Dragon Iris obviously gets a greater cloaking range, so the imp can move around more easily while remaining cloaked. There's also the issue that a conjurer would have to stay a lot closer, and the imp with it - waiting for the conjurer to walk in would slow down the imp, while positioning it out of the cloaking field and hoping to reach it before the felon blows it up is just asking for bad things to happen. Iris covers enough of an area to cover starting point and finish line upon activation, and with less chance of eating incidental fire.

@@nonameiii.2302 Although I understand the use of the extra range on the iris I don't think it would've been of importance in this match. shieldball is slow and there were no bandits to uncover either the imp or cloaker so conjurer would've probably been just as effective as the iris. Even losing a conjurer wouldn't be that bad because of how much cheaper it is.

@@64-Bit_Dragon true, though there were also some nerfs to conjurer cloak sometime, I recall decloak radius and recloak timer being on the list but neither should be relevant in this interaction due to outlaw being a thing.
