You tutorials are not for beginners and thats the great thing about them. You pick great topics. Being a Cubase user since VST5 myself...incl. programming Marcos and all that...ha ha.... Love how you work with that program. Keep up the good work!

Wow. I am fascinated by how such a simple looking thing could have a drastic effect overall. And not to mention, these small changes get doubled and tripled over time and thus creating a big difference in overall sound. Thank you so much once again.

Baš se radujem tom narednom tutorijalu, jer je internet prepun ovih o machine gun bas linijama, a tek nekoliko o ostalim varijacijama. Mada ni jedan nije detaljan kao tvoji. Hvala, stari!

i always do linear phase on the kick (before bounce on the final audio) natural phase for the bassline. amazing video bro ;D
@EClipChannel Жыл бұрын
It’s a matter of choice. I realized that every phase shift can be fixed to the same position with the phase plugin. When you understand what is happening, and you know how to deal with it, it all comes to the matter of choice.

Most of the times i use linear phase eq on kick and the bass. On other instruments, synths, drums etc... don't really care so much. But sometimes i use zero latency on kick and bass intentional. Sometimes it gives some nice results.
@EClipChannel3 жыл бұрын
I do the same, as i said in the video!

@@EClipChannel hey m8... do you use stereo width at the bass? I love to add stereo width to my basses.

Hey I'm new to mixing and mastering and even newer to your channel lol but im using the fabfilter proQ3 to mix my vocals with a 2 track beat. When I put it to linear phase high like suggested in the video I learned this from it makes my vocals lag but when I set to zero latency it doesn't.. im just wondering if the lagging will be present after I mix it down??
@EClipChannel Жыл бұрын
Sure, the linear phase will make the “latency” as this is the only what it can keep the linear phase. I wouldn’t be concerned about the phase of my vocals, phase is more important for the low end.
@UziBlancoOfficial Жыл бұрын
@@EClipChannel I meen it seems to work on either setting but the ZL or low linear phase sounds best with what I've got to work with so if it doesn't really matter I should be good right.. even if I'm using it to get "Eq matching" correct?
@qilinpsy3 жыл бұрын
Nice and informative as always. Something that is longer on my mind is: How do you make collaborations with other artists? What if different DAWs are used? Does one person do like all the kick and bass stuff and the other one al the synths and effects? I was really wondering for a time now. Greetings from Germany^^
@EClipChannel3 жыл бұрын
Printing the stems, or OMF if it's Logic/Cubase, but generally Stems! Mostly its 50% on one side, then 50% on another side, and then its usual instructions on the first side. Always one artist do more than other, but a second track fixes that with the same artist if the first track is a success!

could also use a tool to flip the phase back, sure not 100% the same but still pretty good and no need to bounce the bass quite yet. Just a thought.

Yes! I am trying to pass on the knowledge about audio in general. And when you understand what is happening, you would be able to do with any tools that are out there. Many customers that bought course are working in other daws.
