My ONLY complaint with this final sequence is that this song does not override enemy encounters in this dungeon. That would take the 100% hype and multiply it tenfold. Amazing track.

@@protontoad Yup, I'm currently on the finale of Azure and the moment the theme started playing it raised the hype stat by 1000%. Also my pfp is a mix of Hifumi from BA and Mumei. I guess you could say it's Hifumei.

I think basically every final dungeon from Ao onward does the BGM override for fights, but i havent replayed CS 1-2 in a few years so i could be wrong. But i *think* so. (Also i know technically Ao's would be Tree at the Farthest End but Mystic Core is also intended to be like a final dungeon theme sooo)

Didn't even want to encounter enemies when this song was playing. Definitely up there as one of the strong final dungeon themes. The song gives a sense of purpose and responsibility for our Lloyd and his SSS team.

This dungeon was so long, but the way it kept changing its look at least kept me interested. From crumbling fort to the very depths of hell. Was an awesome journey.

My only complain is I would have love this theme to keep playing from random encounter, given the random encounter battle theme in this area honnestly wasn't that great.

Agreed. Close to the best final dungeon in the series, in my opinion. The Liber Ark is very cool, but kinda drags and is repetitive despite all the cool lore and awesome visuals, and the less is said about the Azure Tree, the better. And Cold Steel's final dungeons are unbelievably tiresome and uninspired. The Sun Fort by comparaison is very unique and thematically fitting with all the hell imagery to cap off a very dark part of the story.

Trails games are so excellent JRPGs. Someone who has played rpgs for six teeen years will realize Trails sagas do not have to envy other franchise like Tales of series or Dragon Quest; even, Final Fantasy. I am so happy for knowing those games.

I love how this song represents every composer who was in the Sound Team during the Crossbell arc to some degree; Hayato Sonoda: Arranged the song, adds his heroic touch from 1:16 to 1:30. Takahiro Unisuga: Arranged the song, utilises his awesome guitar skills throughout the track. Saki Momiyama: Composed the song, has her mystical style from 0:49 from 1:02. Masanori Osaki: Not directly involved, but is consistent with his style and features a similar backing orchestra and choir he uses.

The thing I've noticed about Momiyama is that, unlike Osaki and Unisuga, rock doesn't sound like her forte of music. Her compositions sound like someone who doesn't really know rock is trying to make rock tracks...and it just works. She has great sensibilities for other instruments and she knows kinda the key points (steady groove, emphasis on hooks, certain structural components), so they sound like rock but not really, yet it works anyway.

my standards for final dungeons in this series was already so high after the sky trilogy and especially coming off phantasmagoria. i expected perfection going into this and yet nothing could have ever prepared me for the rush of adrenaline and wave of emotions that hit me hearing this songs opening for the first time as i realized this was really it for this incredible journey of a game

I gotta be honest, when I first heard this theme, I wasn't too impressed compared to other themes.. because I just heard it on KZbin. I just reached this part on the game, and this song hits different now. It has such a sense of purpose, and you feel the determination of the SSS to fulfill this final mission and bring the perpetrator to justice. Those who have played the Sky games will have even more determination to bring this case to a close.

I kinda always saw the SSS as being the light for Crossbell and since this dungeon is super deep underground, they're "illuminating the depths" so to say as they press onwards
