The way people are obsessed with frogan is weird. The amount of visibility Ethan has given her is actually crazy considering he doesn’t like her. Ethan dwarfs her an audience. He basically insured her longevity within this career, but creating a Streisand-esque effect. Mika’s video was not on a largely Unknown streamer but on Ethan Klein one of the biggest KZbinrs on the platform that’s probably why she didn’t go into depth on an entirely different person.

I usually respect Mika’s perspective but I have so many issues with her video. From getting her info from the snark subreddit to barely having watched any of the controversial pod moments she references… it’s just a mess. Not to mention the constant what-about-ism. The irony of her calling this a “nuanced” conversation when Ethan has demonstrated 100x the nuance in his takes than Mika has in her video. Edit: she did Love so dirty claiming he “doesn’t say much”. He has consistently spoken up to call out misogyny and predatory behaviour. Girl, have you even watched the pod? Bc I’m starting to have doubts…

What's confusing about it? She was impressively fast at describing a story that could have easily taken 5 hours to describe- about the Hasan and Ethan fallout specifically, that's not easy to breakdown or research, it's just a whole lot of content and different people to bring up, a huge sprawling mess of online discourse

I agree with everything you’ve said but I just gotta say something about you speeding up her video. You and her were both speaking at the same pace, unedited, so I had already sped up your video. Then you speed up her video and I’m already watching at 1.5x so she speeds up to 2x, which is entirely too fast for me to process. So I had to slow it back down again to be able to process what she’s saying, but you’re back to speaking at a slow pace. Just give viewers the option to control the speed themselves, please.

Just look at the views they’ve been getting in the past 4 months vs a year ago. They were regularly getting 1 million views and they’re lucky to get half of that now. They lost a decent chunk of their audience because of how Ethan has behaved
