I do think big link is a +1 for zss. He actually can’t atk zss or push advantage, she’s just too fast. He has a rly big speed problem and zss takes the most advantage of tht. If zss gets defensive or has a lead his only option to move her out of a corner is bomb, anything else can just get dash backed. The boomerang is a good anti air but most of the time it’ll be used to keep zss away and be too far away to get killing or damaging combos. He may kill early in this matchup but has little ways of dealing dmg or pushing advantage, even off stage. And when it comes to a defensive stale mate zss will just nuetral him to death. -I’m an educated and subscribed btw

Advantage is mostly if you're in a better position then your opponent, for example, you are ledge trapping them, juggeling them, at center stage, etc, or, for example, luigi's advantage is really good because he can combo and kill you easily when ge gets in your face, but his neutral (both players having distance, trying to hit the other player) is kinda bad and disadvantage means too. Disadvantage is off--stage, at the ledge, being above your opponent etc. Its kinda hard to explain, sorry if this isn't clear.

The -2 should be -1 and the -1 should be -0.5. ZSS is really good at playing aggressive, rushdown while she can also play campy and passive so she will never be fully out of luck against characters and have a completely losing match up. Great mobility and flip jump which is basically I-frames in a can

Really the only thing I don't agree with is Marth. I think that matchup is even. Semantics, I know, but if you have an optimal marth playing an optimal ZSS it's gonna be a bit rough for both parties. You can catch late Fairs with ZSS fairs and zairs, you can punish dancing blade float with side b off stage and on stage if you space it right. But Marth can catch late nairs and use uptilt to call out empty hops, upsmash for flip jump and his back air has just enough disjoint to beat zss backair. Marth is woefully underrated because of his tipper mechanic being harder, but it just incentivizes Marth players to play more reserved and reactive, which most people don't do because it's not as fun. One day a patient Marth is gonna come around and make everyone go "Oh yeah the character is really good, he's just harder to play" which is absolutely a downside, but affects that character's ranking and not necessarily his match ups. The potential is there, it just has to be tapped.

Hey, one of the 5 icies mains here. I think its probably +1, but I'm not some unwavering fool. Of course, I'm no top player but I've fought ZSS's at my level and even just above my level and of all the top tiers it does not feel that bad. ZSS is light and actually scraps with icies which is what we want so I've never felt it is as oppressive as a -2. though I'm sure that depends on your definition of -2. you might call Pikachu and snake a -3 for us and then sure i guess ZSS would probably be -2. The whole target switching thing is a point nobody brings up though and if it is a -2 THAT IS WHY. keep up the good content, best ssbu channel rn.
