Tandemcross pin set for the trigger, and you won't have to take a drill to the receiver.

Good thing you got thoes fancy trigger pins, I don't know how your massive stock would have held thoes pins together.

The trigger is so light you had a negligent discharge and didn’t even notice. You will get used to it.

Yup, I think I was accidentally bump firing it.

Single 5 shot groups is not a great way to compare. Simple clean between ammo type then a 10 shot foweling then a shoot 3-4 5 shot groups to get an idea of how each ammo will actually shoot.
@road2nrl222 жыл бұрын
I'll remember this for after the build. I will plan an ammo extravaganza and shoot multiple groups with each, using a spreadsheet to calculate the actual best at 50/100/200.

@@road2nrl22 Yeah I have been wanting to do a Video of full Kidd Barrel Ammo test myself. I pretty sure I am at 20 different from Bulk to Bench. I do not have a budget for Hi End for Matches. I Run SK Standard Plus with good results for my NRL22 Matches.

You need to upgrade the barrel. Depending on your purpose either Kidd Light weight or regular. I have a Volquartsen Carbon Fiber on my Speed open rifle. CLARK HEAVY .920 on my PRS 10/22

Agreed, new bull barrel from IBI just came in. Need to catch up on filming and get it built.

If you really want to help your perormance. Polish the bolt and Take a Green Scotch Bright and polish up the inside of that Receiver. It will be so much smoother. Ruger is so bad about the overspray inside of the Receiver it is like Sandpaper. You will not believe the Difference it will make in the overall performance. I run a 20" Heavy SS KIDD on mine and still run a stock Bolt and Receiver polished up and it super Smooth and runs flawless.
@road2nrl222 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip, I'll gave to try it out.

You can do more to the bolt than just polish it out. It is a common thing to modify the back end of the bolt by applying the proper radius and then polishing it. I'd also suggest upgrading the firing pin and extractor. I use Volquartsen parts for this. Then I always modify the bolt release. It takes 3 seconds to make it an auto bolt release, which is super handy in competition. The suggestion of a Kidd barrel is spot on though. They are excellent. The trigger can be improved with Volquartsen parts like the target hammer, which is very economical, but worth every penny.

I get it, it is fun to play with a stock Ruger 10/22 and add parts to it, but really if you are serious get a KIDD barreled receiver from KIDD then go through building it out.

Hoping to film this week. Whole new receiver, KIDD internals. And another video after that with an IBI bull barrel.

I haven't adjusted mine yet, but the trigger comes with instructions on how to. Reliability has been great so far. About to test with a new KIDD bolt and charging handle this weekend.

I'm sure someone's told you, but you should run 5-10 foulers when switching ammo types. Also switching from 5 rd groups to 10rd groups isn't consistent. Sad to see you leave KZbin, I like your 10/22, I wanna get a SBI chassis for my Ruger Target Tactical, they look good!!

Get rid of that grip and get a vertical one and learn to shoot with your thumb on your trigger finger side. Should help greatly to get a consistent trigger pull
