Mate I went though this how to carry water on runs issue too. The solution… the “naked” belt and get a 500ml soft flask. Can have your phone gels and a soft flask in the one belt and it’d elastic and tight to my your body so it disappears on you. I can’t stand things bouncing around too much. I’ll be using it at port Mac so I can have some fluids and fuel on me from the start

Hey Brody: I’m from Sydney and up here there are literally dozens of social open water swimming groups one can join. I’m guessing in sports mad Melbourne there are some as well. In addition there are also a lot of coached groups. Why not ask Brenton Ford for some advice as to his recommendations in joining a open water group - whether coached or just social. Doing this once a week would be both a great way to break up the swim training and get some valuable experience.
@brodysearle

Hey mate! I believe i've understood your NB Supercomp Trainer are done. These type of shoes are very fragile (like the RC Elite and Alphafly), foam gets f*cked pretty easily. I don't know much about the deterioration of the carbon plate efficiency but i imagine it's quite fragile too. For the easy runs i would advise you to get a pair of less technical shoes. I've been using 2 pairs of shoes for most of my runs one has done 1200kms the other one 1400, and my Alphafly are on the shelf waiting for race day to go turbo turbo mode. Lovely to watch you enjoy the training process, see you next week!
