At least the original clip was made of titanium. This one seems to be the same painted steel clip from the 0308 which will look pretty worn quickly. I would take the old one any time over this, just for material and looks. They saved a few bucks with this clip and still made some people happy - good job, ZT!

Just picked this version up from dlt and almost went and bought a lynch clip good thing I watched this I was concerned about the clip

My biggest critique on the original 0640 is that the tip of the blade can be touched very easily when closed. Only my Socom Elite is more dangerous in that matter… I happen to love the green scales and titanium clip of the 0640! Although I must admit that inserting the knife into the pocket is difficult with one hand. 😝

I just pulled mine back out, and you are right - the tip is a bit accessible when closed with that open back construction. My med-large sausage fingers didn't run into while carrying, but you make a good point (

I have not checked out the 0801 despite seeing a lot of reviews - I checked your channel, but couldn't find one on that model - is it buried under some other video name? (You got a lot of videos brotha!👍 ). I think the 0566 looks pretty cool too. Thanks for stropping in.
