When I first got it, I originally intended it as a gift for my dad. But after carrying it a few times it grew on me. And I am not a slip joint guy at all, but the double detent system I find a lot more enjoyable than the traditional back spring.

Digital_Guttersnipe totally agree.

Interesting, I actually don't like ball detent slippies as much as back springs... The light pull/close does come in handy though

I’m excited for Medford’s slip joint. Looks freakin gorgeous. Pocket friendly Medford’s are a dream come true. Greg is brilliant to pivot to smaller knives and to strike while the market is hot! I love their build quality fit and finish and execution in a more pocket friendly design =homerun!

Rene Chavez agreed it looks nice. Hoping to get one in to check out.

I just took delivery of my ZT0230 and love it; I don’t care about pocket clips ( all my pocket knives get dropped into my front pocket ). It’s lightweight, perfectly centered and sharp.

Yes perfect.

Wish it had a pocket clip like the 0235, i like the sheepsfoot blade on this better than the 0235

Old school marine/yacht blade, it would seem ... 👍

I'm honestly surprised that they made it so close to the Anso Monte Carlo for less than 1/4 the price (although I haven't handled the MC tbf)... My only complain is I wish the backspacer was Ti instead (for ano :D )

Not really big on slip joints either but i like this one would be a nice backup blade in the 5th pocket great review

Jeremy Spaulding exactly my thoughts. I’m likely going to order one for myself.

Hold on hon. I have to change. My pants don't match this new knife. Embarrassingly enough, is a thing I've actually said.... my wife laughed when you were talking about making your girlfriend wait

I don't see the need for two knives in your pocket, if you were carrying the correct knife, you should only need one. Tell me i am wrong! Slip joints make me feel like we are going backwards. Next we will be using the typewriter again l;) I have a fully customized Micro Ti coming in the mail today and a CKF MKAD Loro one off. Both bought on secondary market and hope they are as nice as they looked in the pictures. Would you like to see them when i get them?
@DirkWerning4 жыл бұрын
Donald Perreault i always good with the rule ‘2 is 1 and 1 is none’ you just never know. I generally carry a standard folder and a small Swiss Army Knife. I like to use the SAK fir the scissors or small screwdriver as those come in handy. And depending on who’s around the SAK is less ‘menacing’ so to speak. I don’t need to see your Micro Ti but the other CKF would be great (I’ve got a couple Micro Ti myself).

Suffice it to say I am old and my brain just doesn't work like it used to. I completely forgot that I carry a small Victorinox MiniChamp on my keychain, not in my pocket but it does equal two knives. The Alox Minichamp is aces. Apologies, for making you second guess why you carry two knives :)

Donald Perreault all good and I don’t second guess I do things purposefully 👍🏻

Funny how we, yes I'm including myself, consider these small slip joints as secondary when that's all our grandfather's carried. At least mine and yours Dirk cuz we're a little older than gramps carrying the 110, that was my dad's generation. I really like the "modern" slip joints but I only have a couple. They work great and definitely serve their purpose.
