I had the joy of working on my mantis tiller. Only thing nice about that is I can put that on my shop table. Don’t mind working on little engines but I felt like o was going to break the damn thing when I was working on it. Glad you got it fixed.

Hi Buddy the Dog, oh and Ross!😆My wife and I was looking at getting a zero turn with a steering wheel, of course that would be the Cub Cadet. Then reality took hold and after seeing the prices, I decided to work on our Troy Bilt, which needs a muffler too, and save some money. Your lines once again tickled me, wearing gasoline, check! I have that same Kohler Command engine in my Ariens zero turn. If you decide to run it longer before getting a new one, Kohler updated the valve covers to composite with an o-ring, they were a problem area. You can also get a heat shield to keep the hot exhaust heat off of the valve covers. I put this kit on mine, it's on my small engine channel. No leaks so far 👍🏻

I have a question for you Ross. How do you like the ag tires on your mower? I had to put new tires on mine, and was seriously thinking about ag tires. But then I thought they might be to aggressive on a zero turn and tear up the sod turning. So I stayed wirh turf tires. Do you like your ag tires? If Moline Dan is on his way, that should be another hilarious video! 😂

Oh those fuel shut off solenoids on the carbs of these modern day mowers is a joke lol. But a good one at that, because it forces you to buy a whole new carb, instead of repairing the one that’s on it for a few dollars worth of a carb rebuild kit. We had that same problem on our Cub Cadet lawn tractor, and we didn’t know what was wrong with it at first. Had no idea it even had such a thing, that would eventually go bad, as we were used to running Wheel Horse tractors from the 80’s! Once we had our first experience with that kind of problem, I looked at that and said what was wrong with a good ol fashioned float, and needle and seat, that been used for the past 100 years just fine. Oh that’s right it doesn’t make them enough money selling carb kits, so they now wanted you to just buy a whole new carb. The greediness of these modern equipment companies is truly astounding.

HI ROSS 😊😊 if thr old fuel filter is stopped up W trash the lawn mower isn't going 2 run either the next thing is the sparkplugs they don't last 4 ever because 2 day the gas is no good no more either 😮😮 OMG 7 28 2O24

Whatever you do, do not go to our local Ex-Mark dealer to get exhaust gaskets for one of those Kohler 7000 series twins. They demand a spec number. I finally gave up and told her I would go to Amazon and get new gaskets. I did, got 3 sets for $9. My mower is a Hustler Raptor SD which is made by ExCel which is the same company as the Ex-Mark is made. Ex-Mark is priced like a Cadillac Escalade, just a Chevrolet Suburban with a larger price. I agree, working on mowers is a pain and a very bad pain when it is your own.

Hey Ross just a idea I don't know the layout of your yard just look for a cheap finish mower for a 3pt and use a real tractor and between the free Rider or this one you could just use one of them for the areas that you can't get a tractor into
