I so agree. I am especially thankful for the home my children and I have just moved into in a bit of a rush just before Christmas. Living in a rented home for 11 years and suddenly being uprooted due to the quick sale of the house brought me to a new appreciation for finding a pace to call home. Watching your videos has helped me to better settle where I am. Your ideas help me to find new ways to feel satisfied in the space I now occupy and hope will truly become a home.

Thank you very much for your lovely videos. This primal urge to spring clean is such a gift. I like to step back centuries and imagine how our generational great-grandmothers must have enjoyed applying TLC to their rustic homes - just as much as we do in the 21st century. Here in Michigan we still have at least two months of winter. But displaying a little pride of ownership by cleaning and organizing now, helps overcome this gloomy season. On the other hand, just yesterday Bella (older Yellow Lab, we're about the same age) and I both braved a winter storm by walking to Lake Huron's shoreline to view this Great Lake in a majestic uproar. Once back home, six inches of snow in the driveway needed to be shoveled. These challenging outdoor activities were wonderfully invigorating, and helped clean out any emotional cobwebs.
@marinavedmidskaya4 жыл бұрын
It's so lovely how you put the idea of cleaning not as a chore, but as giving your home TLC and being grateful that you have it! In the past I used to hate the day of cleaning, but thankfully now I'm adopting a new way of looking at it with love and good feelings, so your video was so much in tune with my new philosophy! Thank you!

Chased the cobwebs last Monday, remembering of your previous video about it ; it took me less than a quarter of an hour and was so refreshing. Vacuumed under the big L-form sofa too, full of dust and lost toys and kids’ thingies. Began to think of cleaning the windows, maybe early February, when I usually think I cannot bear anymore of winter time and rain... Thank you again for your so smoothing and inspiring YT and Instagram channels. Have a nice week.

Good morning Fairyland! Gratitude is the key. In all situations be grateful. There is always a life lesson to learn. Spring isn't close for me yet, we had snow here this last week, something I hadn't seen in quite a few years so I was grateful for it. I think I may get a jump on some winter cleaning and organizing. Enjoyable video as akways😊
@doro88564 жыл бұрын
Oh Niamh, you're so lucky to be able to open the windows wide at this time, and to be able to think that spring is just around the corner. I envy you both abilities. We've still got at least another 8 weeks of winter, and it's SO cold the best I can do is get the windows open a crack for a few minutes. But it was a breath of fresh air to see you be able to do that. You've got such a great, livable, climate. Thanks for posting.

I thought I was the only one who thought of January as the unofficial start of spring! I always spring clean in January and lighten things up around the house. I obviously still use my fireplace and candles for warmth but I like having my plants around and fresh flowers such as white tulips as a reminder that spring is around the corner. I also let as much sunshine into the house as possible. I don’t know why but I’m usually already in spring mode when January rolls around. 🤗🌿🌷

I work as a private domestic cleaner and I love it. There's something so satisfying about cleansing away dirt and mess, and leaving houses sparkling. I use chemical free cleaning products for the most part. I'd like to use cloths to minimize waste but I do use paper towels a lot to avoid any cross contamination (especially toilets), and I find they create less streaks on glass and mirrors. I feel guilt about the environmental impact but I'm yet to think of a solution that uses less waste and also prevents contamination risks.
