This is for US-based people, but the government has various auctioning websites selling heavily used to unopened military surplus gear. I have found cottage ultralight camping brands there. It's a good place to buy gear secondhand for super cheap if you know what you are looking for but just be careful as some of the gear is super used and might not have much life left.

Related to intimate hygiene when you're traveling/camping/ outdoor, I can highly recommend the portable bidet/ intimate shower. You just fill it with water before going to the toilet and it's so easy and handy. 😊

At a festival campsite in Belgium there was a pop up second hand store and I got a little chair (still good after +7years) and a flannel. They were lifesavers at that time.

Love your eco-friendly approach to festivals. Food containers and a water bottle are key! I like to bring a couple of extra trashbags, so you can keep your camp clean (the festivals I've been to only give you one bag). One another note I'd really appreciate if you'd use the word vulva when describing the exterior part of genitals, because you definitely don't want to clean your inside (vagina) with wipes! Having a precise vocabulary for your body really makes a difference in the ability to describe irregularities or standing up for one's self

I got my last camping chair by "shopping" the campgrounds on the festival's last day :D. Sadly or rather luckily people start to take their stuff back home with them more and leave less stuff behind, that's why I was unsuccessful this year.

also, I don't bring a cup anymore as I just use one of the reusable ones they give out with the drinks from the festival grounds for most of the festival.

I have noticed that in the past as well. I used to go to many Robbie Williams concert, golden circle ticket and queuing from like 6am, lol. I'm 41 now, would not go that far anymore. But back then fans still camped overnight outside the venue (as adults my age in the 30s). And when it got to the point where we had to get ready, those people would just throw their foldable chairs into the bin. Instead of bringing it to their still booked hotel or car to take them home.

My water bottle was a gift at work 6 years ago-still going strong. I do however like to drink electrolites and they leave resudue. So I got this tiny metal pearls and they do a fantastic job cleaning the bottom. Can recommend. Enjoy the festival!!

If you don´t want to bring a whole pillow, you could bring a pillowcase and put a pullover or else into it as a pillow- filling.

The comforts of sleeping bags are always lying. Well they're also based on avarage mens needs, but I'm comfortably sleeping In my "winter sleepingbag" In May. 😂 Also, i'd definetly get a silk/inner sleepingbag if you find one. It's lovely and keeps the sleepingbag clean so no need to worry if you want to just crawl In to the bag and fall asleep after crazy festivalday

If you are way smaller or taller than average you should also adjust your sleeping bag length. For tall people that's probably a no-brainer but if your small you don't want to have a large pocket of cold air at your feet

@@clarasayk525 yes, I'm actually a scout and with kids we usually fold the ends, also helps their feet to stay warm if there's an extra bit of warm underneath. Of course the junior size bags would be better but not all can afford to buy new ones after couple years

a tip for camping occasions when you have access to a mini gas stove / can do some cooking - bring all the small packets of salt, pepper, sugar, other spices, ketchup from fast food places, instant coffee etc. i know i have acquired a lot of them over time and camping is a great opportunity to use them.

I personally like the Natracare or Organyc intimate wipes, both made from 100% cotton. Super handy when travelling/camping!🥰 Hope you can find those where you are.

Have you ever seen those key rings that are a flexible metal wire with a screw closure? I slip that through both sides of the clasp of my bum bag (or any bag really) and it makes me feel much more secure when out in large crowds or high theft areas. It doesn’t look the best but it is effective.

Oh, awesome! I love a good festival. Love the battle jacket 🤘 I just looked at the Roskilde festival lineup. Some really amazing performers there. Who are you looking forward to seeing the most? I'd be so excited to see Khruangbin live. Also While She Sleeps, and Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes. The Doja Cat performances are pretty wild too, so I'm sure that won't disappoint either. I am going to metal/rock 3 day festival next week. This is the only festival around here that you buy hard plastic cup at the beginning of it and you refill it or exchange for full (they clean and reuse them) during the festival. At the end of the 3 days you can return it and you get your money back and the cup gets recycled. This is not the most sustainable but it is very good option and at the end of the night you don't get a field full of plastic cups.

I love that you're making this video! So, I am on a sustainability journey and I have a lot of festival gear that I bought new before I started this journey, BUT my tent was destroyed during my last festival and I am SO heartbroken, because I enjoyed it so much 😢 however there's this really cool organisation where I'm from which makes coats for the homeless from tent sails so I am going to donate it - anyway it was a really cool tip to buy my tent second hand, because I (stupidly) didn't think of that yet, so thank you!!!

Doing some light traveling this weekend, so the packing inspo is perfect timing! A couple years ago I decided to invest in a new piece of luggage: a duffle backpack from the brand Monarc. Absolutely obsessed, it's such good quality, practical, and comfortable. If anyone's looking for a carry-on size travel bag but aren't finding what you want secondhand, I highly recommend looking into this one :)

I'd love to know how much all of your stuff weighed. Oh & try compressed cleaning wipes in lieu of baby wipes. You can find them made with biodegradable material, they take up minimal space & work great! Enjoy your festival! 🌟

I tried this thing called a Miswak toothbrush stick. It's basically a plant that has toothbrush like 'bristles' inside it that you brush on your teeth, no toothpaste or water required. From what I've heard they've been used for centuries to the point that the WHO says theyre good for dental hygiene. It's totally renewable and biodegradable bc it's a plant. My only problem with them is that they seem to only come vacuum sealed in plastic. A very small amount of it considering but still not great.

Viscose uses less water than cotton production and the production process is chemical, but it it a closed process and if it is a good viscose production plant in Europe like eg Lenzing everything that leaves the plant besides viscose is drinking water

Hi Gittemarie! I’m surprised you use the intimate wipes, because a vagina is a self-cleansing organ. It’s just another marketing ploy. I quote from an article: Vaginal washes and intimate wipes often contain high levels of lactic acid and other chemicals that aren’t really vagina friendly. In the process of cleaning, they disrupt the natural pH levels resulting in a whirlwind of issues. “Intimate wipes induce a 3.5 times higher risk of bacterial infections and two-fold risk of UTIs, owing to the presence of chemicals and parabens in them. These interfere with the vaginal equilibrium and often cause more harm than good” No judgement, just genuine curiosity what the reason behind this is ☺️ I’ve just used a wash cloth and some water in the past during festivals. Anyway, I hope you have/had fun! I’m a big fan of your content. Lot’s of love from Belgium!

I'm pretty sure she just meant to wipe/clean on the outside, not going up inside the vagina. many people - even highly educated ones like our girl - often accidentally say vagina when they mean vulva 💗💗💗
