I got my Pothos from Home Depot also. I didn’t get all the little white fertilizer flakes out the first time. Only missed about 3 but it still raised my nitrate level. Washed it good the second time. It completely surrounds half my 100 gallon black floor tub and reaches down to the floor. The root system is amazing and the Shebunkins love swimming in them. Put it in my 110 aquarium and the goldfish keep the roots under control but the plant is still thriving.

What I use are bonsai wires,the thick ones. I would bend it enough where the plant can fit im then at the the end curved it to a hook so that it can be put in the aquarium glass.

Luke I suggest adding guppy grass to the guppie tank to provide more cover for better survival rates of fry.

I would also recommend trying out some lucky bamboo plants. I have 2 in my tank and they work pretty good. they would look great in with the pothos too! I just set them in the tank with only the leaves on the top of the plant out of the water, I don't bury them in substrate or anything. they also come growing in water too so you dont even have to clean any dirt off

I have my pothos fully submerged on my Oranda tank, no issues. It's not even planted in the substrate, its just in the water column and roams the tank with the current.

5:43 they need some places to hide they feel cornered & unsafe. Clearly they're afraid of you when you're putting the racks on. Get them some hides. You may need to adjust their tank so you can do what's best for them.

Pearl weed looks great submerged and floating. Also absorbs ammonia and nitrates. And doesn’t require C02 or any chemicals ☝️ I have one pot of Pearl Weed in a floating bucket in my 60 gal pond. I’ll see how it grows throughout the months and years

Yeah. My mom has a water lily in her pond. And the water is super clear. She has no air pump. I plan on getting her goldfish a solar air pump once I save some money at my new job

Do you think it is better to use zip ties rather than rubber bands to join the two bars together to hold the pothos? Rubber bands dry up and break.
