what clippers or tools would you suggest if you were cutting mid bald fade and a line up ?
@HisWordisLife4U8 жыл бұрын
so...zero gap refers to the lack of gap between the two blade tips? So even when the clipper level is closed all the way, the two blades line up?
@djtakinitback97178 жыл бұрын
I pushed the back bracket al the way up and yet it still did not go past the other blade. And I had the blades closed.tried it with quite a few Andis Master today and still had the same issue. Also straight out the box the bladed was not even across the blade. And this was straight out the box. I tried fixing it but the screw got stripped (twice). so I am not sure what to do in terms of Zero gapping the Master or even obtaining a pair in which the blade would be even coming out the box. I went to 5 different Sallys and all of the blades were not even straight out the box. (Frustrated to the fullest).

When zero gapped, should the blade be ever so slightly behind cutting blade? Just so it doesn't catch on the skin. Or should they be completely flush with each other?

Is it necessary to zero-gap the Andis Master if blending a bald fade with a stock Andis T-Outliner? Can a stock Master fully closed blend with the T-Outliner? I see a lot of people using this combo, just can't tell if their clippers are zero-gapped or not. Thanks!
@kikado38 жыл бұрын
+xderiwx Its close with them both stock. Its just you wont get a real bald fade easily unless both are zerogapped which is most likely the case.

+Ricardo The Barber Thanks for the quick response! My question was also related to what Steven Alvarenga asked, about the Master being able to take out the trimmer line with just the first step of your zero-gapping process. Adjusting the blade like you would on another clipper, like a Wahl, instead of having to open it up completely to adjust the blade holder forward. Seems to be a lot of conflicting information out there about this. Thanks for clearing that up, and for making this video available!

From what I understand from the information on the Andis Master box the factory settings cut 000 - 1. After you zero gap it like this, does this mean your clipper will cut from size 00000- 000? I was planning on replacing my blade with a fade blade which claims to cut (00000-000) Do you suggest I zero gap it like this before trying the fade blade? I want to be able to blend from t outliner (bald) to 000.

I have this problem when I put my 1/2 purple guard and it doesn't cut hair when I open the blade , I use the andis master and I was wondering how do I give it good power cause they are weak , they also have this rattling noise sometimes
@MrBlahblahblee8 жыл бұрын
Grab a flathead screwdriver. Unplug your clippers. Tighten the screw on the right side of the clippers slightly. Plug back in and turn your clippers on. The rattling noise should be gone, your clippers should run more silently, and you will now notice the increase in power when you click the clippers to "on"
@MrBlahblahblee8 жыл бұрын
If the rattling is still there, tighten the screw a TINY bit more until the screw is turned such that it is not loose but not insanely tightened. I did this and the LOUD noise was gone immediately after tightening

I have a question, I just recently bought the andis MLX(the black andis). So when I went and zero gapped them, the magnetic guards always bite when I put the lever in close postion? Any solutions for me? plz
@kikado39 жыл бұрын
Nope. This is supposed to happen when their zero gapped. You put all guards on in the open position and then close them while the clipper is on so you don't close all the way. This is inevitable if the master is zero gapped
@AzNwacko9 жыл бұрын
so what would you recommended? should i just use the andis for blending out 0-1. and using other clippers to fade with larger number guards? cause i seen a couple of barbers who use the andis masters closed with guards, but i cant tell if they're zero gapped or not.

Ricardo I tried to zero gap my black label masters & it didn't go so well. It's makes a annoying noise & it's weak I can stop the blade with my thumb. I followed your steps from the video, how do I fix both of those problems? Please help me out!
@kikado38 жыл бұрын
+Joseph Hernandez The black label masters do not zerogap this way. The zerogap easier by just moving the blade back which takes 2 seconds. All this was not needed for the black labels. To get things back to normal you basically just have to keep playing around with them and adjust the blade like you did to zero gap them. The blade holder where you use the stars screws needs to be perfectly level for everything to work properly. Make sure everything is symmetrical on the inside of the machine and you should have better luck.

Whats the reason for zero gapping because i feel once u zeromgap the measurements are off this is just my opinion?
@kikado39 жыл бұрын
The reason for zero gapping is so you can easily blend into a real close bald type of fade with no visible lines. It allows your trimmers to easily blend into an electric shaver no problem. It will shift the measurements more than change them. Coukd take getting a little used to.

Hey I just purchased a pair of Oster Fast Feeds and the T Finishers. I've heard they work good in conjunction and the Fast Feed is quiet and doesn't get hot like the Masters. What are your thoughts on the Fast Feed. I am mostly going to be using them for clipper over comb and small guards. Other than that anything over maybe a 4 will be shears for me, just let me know your thoughts and experience with the clipper. Also a suggestion man trust me make some review videos, and knowing you if you were going to make clipper reviews they would be fucking proper. I try looking for them but the only thing I find is David Warrens videos which aren't the best. I see you making these how to zero gap videos trust me man everyone is looking for overall general reviews of clippers and trimmers, all the young barbers need a video like that and the majority of your audience is probably new barbers.
