Yes, it's only nightmare, but it's deathless so I'll go with the fake clickbait title. Deathless first playthrough is better anyways, as a second playthrough would be trivial, because this was quite easy to begin with.

You have so much BFG and hammer charges that everything is very simple. Only close moment I had was in the final boss fight. The final boss is very straightforward since the only long range attack he has is pathetic, so you can heal up easily by just running around the arena. You can also use meathook and dash above him to buy yourself time. The extra demons spawned in the last phase should be dealt with by using the hammer instead of the BFG.
Might do a UNM playthrough some time without HUD or something, not that it'll be any more difficult.

@@milkycannon444 Yup, not too bad. I died a fair bit, but none of the required sections really gave me trouble. Final boss fight was the longest for sure, but it felt well designed and pretty fair. Samur phase 5 spirits was way more of a PITA, you just have to go ham on DPS and pray to the RNG gods.

@@bigspoon1338 Actually, according to the lore found in this DLC, apparently the Divinity Machine was imbued with the piece of the Dark Lord's power, which was why Sentinel warriors died when they were exposed to it - they simply couldn't take it. It was a long con on the Dark Lord's part - he was hoping that eventually, someone would become imbued with this power so they can exact his revenge on the Makyrs. Something Samur Makyr actually helped happen by exposing the Slayer to it. And since the power belonged to the Dark Lord from the start, I can only guess that his death made the Slayer lose that power and it left him weakened, which is why he fainted. Still don't get why he was entombed again though, it feels like a huge slap in the face after everything he went through...

The design was such that anyone, even the Slayer, put in on the default settings would come out insane and near death. Samur had to "reverse the polarity" of the machine in order to make it actually _imbue_ someone with power.

One thing that definitely helps control the arenas was probably the air mobility rune and the speed boost upon glory kill rune (forgot what it was called)

My favourite level is unironically Immora, then World Spear then Reclaimed Earth (not saying Reclaimed Earth is bad). I got the DLC done in roughly 3 hours on Nightmare with no deaths (kinda like you did) and I am on console. Love the new crooshair thing as well. Keep makig Pog content my dude! :)

I have the Deluxe edition too, and when it was time, the game automatically downloaded the update for Part II, and you can see it just below TAG Part I in the menu. Maybe you need to reset your launcher so that the download can start?

It seems you forgot you can glory kill the zombies to recharge the hammer. Just take 2 little pop shots at their feet with the rifle while running around and you have a full hammer in 2 kills. Makes wiping out the big spawns much easier.

Pretty dogshit final boss design: a glorified bigger Marauder with a ridiculous healing mechanic, and cliche phase-based cycle. Meanwhile, 75% of your time is spent just recharging the hammer, which is basically required unless you want only half a second of time to do damage with every stun. Terrible, uncreative way to draw out the fight. Aside from that, the plot twist is actually mind-blowing. Satan actually turned out to be God, who was betrayed, cast out, imprisoned, and resigned to employ the forces that originally caused downfall. He literally is forced to do what they first accused him of. You almost gotta feel sorry for him, his hatred for the Maykrs, Sentinals, and everything is almost justified...

Its surprising to see how much good players are stuck in their awesome gameplay and won't rely on simple tactic for the last boss. While yes, as a below average player the boss was really hard for me, when it came to attack it while he was stunned, I've found that there was no need to use the double shotgun/ballista switch, just getting close and unleashing the chaingun in turret mode or even the combat shotgun in auto mode did a better job. I guess its hard to lose those high skill reflexes gained fighting all those marauders against what is basically a bigger marauder with thankfully no surrounding enemies to trigger that pesky wolf.

Wow, you really made that first major arena of Reclaimed Earth (with the 2 Tyrants and 2 Barons) look so easy. I always get stuck on that fight and the escalation encounter for some reason. And I'm a regular Nightmare player! I beat TAG1 and the master SGN classic mode on Nightmare! TAG2 could use some buffing in certain encounters for sure, but I still feel plenty challenged by it overall. Oh, and thanks for showing how powerful the Destroyer Blade is 👌 If you think using that thing guarantees your death, then you just suck at finding openings to use it, haha. (Same for Full Auto and Microwave Beam.)

Now that Davoth is dead, that part of him within the slayer is also dead, but the slayer is still alive and has just been reverted to the state he was in before the divinity machine. Did anyone notice some of the demons got nerfed in DLC 2? I felt like the Arachnotron fire rate was not as fast as it was in DLC 1... I completed ultra nightmare on first try on DLC 2, unlike DLC 1 I died during the final boss and the Bridge tyrant arena.. DLC 1 was more challenging than DLC 2, in my opinion.

The addition is good. But the plot ending spoils everything. The hero took revenge for his fallen comrades, his rabbit. Saved the earthlings, existence, and all things. And as a result, in gratitude, he was imprisoned in a sarcophagus. Conclusion-help everyone and in return you will get a knife in the back. The beautiful moral of Bethesda!

Technically speaking, they've said, "All the demons outside of hell will die if the Dark Lord is destroyed". Since the slayer was in Immora, the capital city of hell, he hasn't been destroyed. He's still alive and just sealed away. And the "Dark Lord" is the "leader" of the hell forces, "a warrior", like a "commander". I don't think he's the creator of hell. He has just created the demons. There must be a higher force. If this is not the case, then again with the death of the Dark Lord, the father would again ascend to power in the dark lord's absence. In that case, if the father decides to do anything evil, the slayer should be back again to slay the father. May be in this game as a DLC or maybe there'll be a sequel to Doom Eternal? Who knows? Let's wait!

What did you think about the ending Zero? I found it kind of good that the Slayer can now rest knowing his work is done.. I do not think that he actually died but is in a Limbo state and sealed away..
