I Agree about the Graphics, but they never really caught my eye even when i was actually playing, aside from when i got pissed at how slow cloud walked and ran (which i felt was corrected in FFVIII (didn't play) and FFIX).

1:57-2:01 is AMAZING and sounds so much like QUEEN! The guitar rifts are well struck like Uetmasu inserted this mini-ballad into the song. This song was one of the more chilling boss musics in FF ever. (Next to OWA!)

I agree with you there. I just beat Tiamat and I'm absolutely enjoying how simple FFI is. It's pure fantasy--no complex and sometimes contradictory character personalities or forced plot devices, it's just you and a whole lot of evil baddies. Therein lies its charm.

Zeromus isn't a great villain by any means, but he is down right creepy. A being of eternal hate and darkness. Plus his voice in the DS version was flawless. I'd love to see a villain that has the intimidation factor of Zeromus come back in another FF. Sure I love Kefka, Sephiroth and Kuja but Zeromus=best final boss ever. Necron doesn't count.

I'm a hardcore final fantasy fan, I have played and enjoyed everyone except for xi, had no online. And while I was disappointed in this theme at first... I figured it still sounded so boss that it became acceptable, and I think would be an epic theme in the game.

Zeromus in SNES was pretty easy, but in DS, wooow, the battle was pretty intense! I could only keep Cecil alive to revive Rosa, to revive Edge and throw weapons hahahahah I was like in lvl 70 when I beat it, it was a FREAKIN EPIC fight!

@SilviaGTR1 The SNES localization is actually more like a mashup of easytype and hardtype. Easytype has a few major differences from hardtype and the localization, especially on the moon. And Zeromus is completely different ("Zeromus EG" in the remakes).

Well, it was pretty revolutionary. It was the first Final Fantasy in 3D, was first to show Blood, the Materia system was pretty well balanced (especially when compared to the Junctioning system in 8), was also the first to use In-game cutscenes and FMV. Whether you like the game or not is, of course, one's choice, but one can't deny that it was because of Final Fantasy 7 that Final Fantasy became Mainstream. People just liked it is all. (Fantards aside.. ugh.... I hate fantards)

@crapheadandidiot I wondered why they didn't include any villians new into Duodecim (Gilgamesh and Feral Chaos don't count). Zemus would be, as you said, a badass addition, for starters. Perhaps some of the Four Fiends (Either 4's fiends or 1's), as well.

@ShyShuriken i run into the same problem with my friends. i play a song from a video game (either while jamming or on my ipod from a band like armcannon or powerglove ect. when were chillin and listen to music.) and they say "cool dude was that something you did?" or "cool dude what band was that?" but when i tell them what it was they get all lame about it.

Final Fantasy end conflict situations often deal with abstract concepts or ideas. Ideas about God or angelhood, emptyness or non being, etc. In this case it is a physical creature that becomes a psychic spirit form that can then manifest physically. Zemus had so much hate that it burst forth through his psychic power to become a form unto itself.

However, i will say, despite how much i enjoyed the game, i More-so enjoyed 9 and 1. Those two were very fun to play, Preset stats and abilities aside, and had very good stories to them (even if FF1 wasn't the most complex. It was the first after all, so i didn't expect much in terms of Story). For many, FF7 was the first game they played (Me for example), so a lot fo people are going to favor it over most others, it's all about what people grew up with, and a lot of people grew with VII.

Final Fantasy 4 is final fantasy 4 whether its SNES, GBA or PSP. Its literally the same exact game but with graphical and musical differences. All 3 versions are amazing, please get over yourselves.
