The time has come (for me to learn Roblox at the age of 50😁) As you may know, Roblox has changed its policy regarding audio content in games and recommends the use of songs and sounds through its platform en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000927163. Roblox's audio content comes from music libraries affiliated with "APM Music". But what if a game creator wants to use custom music? So I experimented. I created an empty game www.roblox.com/games/10848383585/zpgothic, and I attached the song "zero-project - Gothic" with ID 10848644178 (after half an hour of searching for the asset manager😮). Looking at the audio settings, I noticed that the option to make the song public is inactive. I don't know if this option will be activated in the future. If you find out anything new about this issue, please let me know. In the meantime, if you want to use the original "Gothic" in your game, you can always download it from the official site for free: www.zero-project.gr/music/singles/darkness-falls/ Although "zero-project" music is free under Creative Commons licenses, sometimes documentation may be required from you to prove that you are using free music. I remember that legacy music player GUI you'd see in tycoons and building games that had low quality versions of tracks like these in different pitches with most being titled differently to avoid copyright. Once upon a time, in 2014 if I remember well, I discovered that the song "Gothic" had been used as a soundtrack in games made by users from the Roblox community. After researching and reading comments on KZbin, I also realized that these games were probably about zombies and similar beautiful things 🤗🙂 Much later, in 2021, I discovered a remix of "Gothic" entitled "Tower Defense Simulator OST". I was surprised when I heard this remix. It is a work that I strongly suggest you listen to (if you have not already done so) on kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqC4k4SafrN6j6c. This remix was a production by Phoqus and I enjoyed it so much that it inspired me to do some experimentation with the classic version of "Gothic". As a result, instead of a remix version of the classic "Gothic", a brand new song was created, which retains the well-known piano pattern of the original version, but in a slower tempo this time. This song once played in "Chill good boys research facility" (roblox) (sped up) during the meltdown sequence. This doesn't play anymore because the reactor broke (about a year before the copyright update happened). I have a video on my channel regarding to the meltdown, though it is very old. Note: If you create audio, you will only be able to use it, as long as its less than 6 seconds. Note 2: You cannot put audio (even if its less than 6 seconds) on the audio marketplace at the time. (as of 4/29/23) Note 3: If your account is verified, (age verification, not email) then you can allow access to audio assets that would originally not be playable (for me I can't because I haven't verified my account yet.)

When i was just a little brat, my brother used to play Roblox as a guest in zombie survival and fighting games, and this way, i discovered Roblox. I didn't understand stuff at first, but as i played the games, more and more stuff i used to discover. I used to play lots of zombie and horror games (the stuff the internet used to show me back then were basically creepypastas and gothic stuff). I remember the tiny stupid jumpscares that made me crap my pants entirely, how sometimes i would just leave the game because i didn't know how to progress and would be surprised and excited when i did discover how to, just for me to get confused again. And in the fighting games, whenever i killed more than 1 person without dying, i would think i was the best player in the server and start acting proud of myself just for me to get angry after someone kill me. And among all those games and memories, there it was, Zero Project-Gothic playing in the background.

What was this song even made for? It's definitely not a tracker song as you pointed out in some comments but it sounds like one, did you make it as a hobby project or to actually be used in Roblox? I appreciate your interest and can’t resist sharing the story behind my song. I was a fan of gothic music (and still am), and I wanted to create a song in that genre when I started making music. However, I was unsure about the title that would suit the mood I wanted to convey. So, I decided to use the simple title “Gothic”.
