the best boat I have paddled so far. I love how many different things it is doing really good and how well it adapts to your paddling style. the more active you paddle it the more it rewards it, on the other hand, you can cruise safely in rough rapids.

Received my Ninja about half a year ago and so far more than satisfied! I'm 189cm 81kg and I feel like the boat is more or less perfect. The latest kind-of downside I discovered was that the hip-pads are rather thick by default. Therefore if you are more wider from the waistline then you might need to do some custom adjustments- find another thinner pair of pads or sth else. Probably good information for women as they tend to often have wider hips than men :D You actually can adjust the pads but not in regards to width (at least I haven't found a way, maybe there is...) :) And last but not least- it really is a fast boat :P

Design is one of the key features of interest for me, while not my style of yak, I do find it very interesting boat, and ZET plastic, in a class by itself.

Thanks for this review! How much do you weight and what is your leg inseam? I am 170lbs with 30" inseam. I have a demo boat right now and will try to move the seat back like you mentioned. Everything you were pointing out in the review is spot on. I also found carrying the boat annoying as there are no hand holds, and rolling took a bit more effort. I would recommend it to someone that does not like an edgy boat. Going to try the Reactor and Inra next, the hulls look like they have a sportier edges.

I am about 150. Not sure on inseam. 5 10 height. Indra has a better edge but is also a somewhat hard to roll. It has a little too much rocker for creeking mank imo. Haven’t tried react r yet . Indra and ninja are both beasts in high flow rivers though.

@@DownstreamV Thanks for the reply, what do you consider high flow? Have you ever paddled the Upper Cheakamus in Whistler, that my home river. Medium is say 30cms.

I have not. High flow means just more volume of river like the upper Gauley or Colorado/PNW type runs

@@DownstreamV Gauley optimal flow is around 2800cfs, Green Narrows is 360cfs? Also looks like you deal with more rock sliding and tighter creeks.

Hey Matt. Thanks for the review. Any comments on being a smaller paddler? I'm a short skinny boater, 135 lbs, and looking at this. Don't like the boxiness of the chili. Own a Five and it's amazing. You think the ninja is too much boat for sub 140 lb paddlers?

It’s pretty wide for a smaller paddler but I wouldn’t say it’s huge necessarily it’s worth a shot if you can find a demo .

do you need to pivot turn to turn this boat? if not what strokes do you use to turn it? thanks

You can but not absolutely necessary. It will turn with normal left and right stokes.

ninja versus indra? i heard you mention you wish you had had the ninja instead of the indra on your trip to Colorado...i just got a ninja and definitely experienced the drag and flip on rocks...hit a f u rock on the ocoee and at first i expected the bow to just ride up over it which it did but next thing i knew i was bracing to stay alive...the stern kind of acted like you said it would...other than that this boat was fun to paddle...but it did not like the manky creek lines on the ocoee..:(

I prefer the ninja overall. The Indra is not much better on rocks it’s more of the same type of flowy river boat not really made for the southeast.
