Tim Kay's Nerd Crate yeah I think at the price point at $360 US I can give some slack but with MMC in the combiner game I think I may wait.👍🤙

Thanks for the honest review Tim. I see way to many reviewers skim past issues, or flat out ignore them. Up until this review, you would have thought this thing was perfect how everyone was praising it. Coincidentally when you mention that its not, now lots of people come out and agree.

You're very welcome, man. You know, I believe when people have a good copy, that's solid and all, but the QC is just so bad and it's just far spread and maybe people put up with it, cause they think: "Oh, that's what they mean. It's supposed to be that way." Once mine posed up it's good, but to get it that way is the thing and the faulty electronics and the problems right out the box and such. I will NEVER ignore that and will always call out QC problems, especially at such a price tag.

Right arm/red jet: Fireflight Left arm/white jet: Slingshot Torso/huge jet: Silverbolt Right leg/grey jet: Skydive Left leg/black jet: Air Raid Now, with that out of the way: Fuck this set 🤣 Really feeling the same about this (I have Kronos). It's articulated core is pretty stable, but all the attachments falling off makes him feel wobbly and messy, and the leg connection isn't safe at all. Find a stable pose, put him on the shelf and be happy. But don't walk past it too fast, it'll fall apart on you ^^

Thanks, dude. Much obliged. That's the first time ever anyone said that they enjoy this mixture. So good to read. On the river dance (🤣): I feel like sometimes figures are wrongfully rated in a certain category, I do it too, and they even don't deserve it. Like Superion on the ability to hold the leg oben. I mean, can you? Or talking a waist swivel overall: why is that so important? No one rotates that far...^^

@@TimKaysNerdcrate you're are very welcome my friend and yes, very true regarding the articulation, particularly in relation to the big combiners; is there a necessity or requirement for them to have that much waist swivel or be able to 'river dance'? I myself, have very limited articulation and I'm lucky if I can lift my leg up past my knee 😂.

@@gw9241 See? But the range is this is only superficial, which is the main problem. The range and if he holds it is the only way to show how much give the joint has. If he can't hold the leg up, he can't hold a more 'sportive' pose.^^

@@TimKaysNerdcrate true - very good point. Just out of interest, what do you make of the "all in one" engineering found in MMC's version of Bruticus? I saw Kato's Kollection excellent review of the combined mode and it looked like solid unit. Do you think this kind of engineering is the way to go? I'm also very curious to see what type of engineering solution Fanstoys do for their combiners (I'm on their Stunticons).

@@gw9241 I saw the prototypes at TF Con '18 and it looked good and also felt very stable. Asthetics are great too and I think all inclusive engineering is amazing and actually accurate, right? So I think it's a courageous move. No one else did it so far. Sadly I won't take a look at them as my money went elsewhere and I have my Bruticus, the UT version. Sadly Vortex broke at the hip, but the combiner remains stable at least.

That's an awesome video. How long did it take you to build that thing?

That comes in said box and it has the 5 smaller bots all assembled. You "only" have to transform them from, bot to jet and from jet, to combiner mode. All of that, cause the instructions aren't the best: an hour? Surely? You can check the other bots if you search youtube for "Zeta Toys Aerialbots". I didn't review the full set, only this box. :)

My Silverbolt wings r shot! Busted right out box. Maybe it’s THF material used but then again the screws for the wings maybe too big for such a delicate parts to be fused. Still waiting on the replacement parts 😡

Leider ja. Viele haben mit dem original Release, also die einzelnen Bots und Kronos, aber keine Probleme. Das scheint also nur das Boxset zu sein.
