I know the official toys look bad by comparison, but folks got to remember, the official toys have a tight budgett and safety laws and other kids stuff to conform to and stay within, 3rd party unofficial toys dont really have any of those restrictions except uable to use the copyrighted names, so naturally they can do better, and its also a case of official toylines are 90% marketed to kids, while 3rd party is marketed towards collectors only really

Neat design! He is way too tall for me though. Maybe he scales well with the oversized toys like Black Mamba and such? Some of those design choices could definitely be incorporated into something smaller though, like the leg wheels basically being on mushroom pegs and how the back of the car gets absorbed into the calves.

I don't collect any of the movie figures, sticking pure to G1 Masterpiece figures, and Bumblebee was always a problem. None of the Takara MP releases of Bumblebee are any good, nor did any other 3rd company make a suitable version of ye olde Bumbler on an MP scale... I may just get this one and see how he fits with the rest, because this Zeta release looks -very- good.

This: $170 MPM7: $90 Worth it? Maybe, but it's a trade off nonetheless. Also, this is too big to scale with the MPM line, so that's another consideration. Personally the Tranform Element one seems more in scale and is only $95

A little bit wonky in some places but seeing that it is a test sample thats to be expected. Also the 67 beetle didnt have rear view mirrors in the passengers side. Not that you have anything to do with that part, just a personal nitpick of mine that you might bring up with the creators of the figure if you want to.

It's ridiculous that the official products look like low quality knock off products lately. I gave my girlfriend a Transform Element TE-01 and there is no Optimus Prime that looks better in robot and transform mode. The only small to nitpick about in this model is that you can see the robot parts through the windows of the car, and I wonder if it would a lot better if the inside of the clear plastic would be painted black for example.
