I remember when my kids were little like Saylor. We took them to a park with 3 different zip lines. One side was for really little kids, one for kids in grade school and then a really long one that was for bigger kids or adults. And my Husband brought out 3 year old on the BIG zip line. He road with her. He sat first and then she sat on his lap with her feet between his legs and he wrapped both arms around her just to insure she didn’t slip off and get hurt. I was up on the top with the younger 2 kids. And didn’t see them riding it. Until I heard my daughter’s blood curdling scream then crying. I was about 7 months pregnant with our 4th kid but still picked up the younger 2 and went running full speed in the direction I heard her cry coming from. I just got to the spot right above the hill and I looked over and there they were walking up the staircase. And I was so mad at my husband. Because I could tell he wanted to go on the zip line but he couldn’t leave her alone and I was busy. So he took her on it. Her little face was all red and blotchy. And I asked that was scary huh? And she said no it was fun. Then knowing full well it wasn’t fun. I said oh do you want Dad to take you on it again. And all she could say was no I’m good other kids can. Then about 20 minutes later she was asking if she could go on it again. And she said the big one with Daddy. The jerk when it stopped scared her. Because her Dad wasn’t expecting it either and he just barely loosened his grip and between the jerk and her Daddy’s grip loosened just a little scared her. After that day we had to go back to that park at least once a month. But if the kids had their way every time we were going to go to a park it would be that one.
