Hey Zet, Back at it taking care of business. Hip deep in the days of the pandemic, dealin’ with it under another lockdown. As you might of noticed got a new handle, and just so there’s no confusion, the easiest way I can explain is to think of it like THE WHO and the song “Won’t Get Fooled Again” with the phrase “Meet the new boss, same as the old boss”. In other words the channel’s name may of changed but the game’s still the same. Horns up to you and Walt for your continued support of MINOTAUR. Really does mean the world to me! It’s a real honor! Thank you! ⛧🤘 This episode, 3 of 3 interview with Lars, is my favorite. I’m not a RANCID or The Casuals fan, if I’m honest. I’m more of a full on meat n’ potatoes Metalhead and proud of that fact. And yet, at the same time, being that Lars and I are from the same era, same side of the street so to speak, I can definitely relate to what Lars talks about in this episode. Especially concerning friendships, relationships, and personal defense mechanisms. I appreciate the depth, and the range of subject matter that you both touched upon, and Horns up for encouraging Lars speak his mind. Not many interviewers would have the guts, nor the attention span to keep up, or care.. for that matter, and I just wanted you to know that I listened to every word.⛧🤘 On with the show notes: Intentionally goin’ in reverse here, so bear with me.. 54:55 Amen! When you bring Lars back, let’s hear more on this + How about a match between you and Lars for TOXIC TRIVIA? 50:54 And that friends and trolls, is the bottom line. The realization that undue stress is no good for the mind, the body or the soul. This awareness and knowledge, together, is THE key that unlocks one’s own three lock box. For those Red Rocker fans out there you already know what I’m talking about. For those that don’t... The realization that YOUR well-being is worth more than its weight in gold, is all that matters in this life. And for damn sure worth more than constantly & consistently having to give a fuck about those that could give a shit less about you. THIS! specific awareness is paramount not only to self-healing, but one-thousand percent the catalyst for positive change, i.e. moving the fuck on. Having toxic people in your life, toxic so-called “friends”, or toxic relationships, and all of that unnecessary garbage. All of it equals lethality. Do yourself a favor and CUT THESE MISERABLE FUCKERS LOOSE! Once you let go, while simultaneously shouting out loud >>FUCK IT!

I feel Lars when he says that his old street survival mechanisms have bled into his intimacy. I used to hang around allot of bikers and shit, their attitude rubbed off onto me and for like a good seven years, and my poor wife had to deal with so much anger and hate coming out of my mouth. But in 2019 I decided to get help and ever since I've been a new man, calmer, and loving.

Good interview content on all three episodes. But it felt more like Zetro was getting interviewed. I would have like to hear Lars talk more and finish some of his thoughts before getting interrupted.

Tim may not be as big a metal fan as Lars is but he does love it and would have a lot to say on the hardcore and metal scene in the east bay so... please!

We saw Rancid in Munich one time. Were drinking pretty early and peaked into the door while they had their sound check. Looked like in a cartoon. My head was the first, my friend's under mine und my then girlfriend's beneath. They noticed and closed the door. So we felt kind of bummed and ran around the complex a bit. We really needed to piss from all the beer and couldn't find a restroom, so we eventually found a bush behind a building. Friend and me were like pushing each other, cracking dumb jokes, while doing our business out in the open. Friend went "look to your left, do you recognize the tattooed bald guys over there?" Well, they all watched us take a piss and I was so embarrassed and never went to the band lol Not like they could've missed me with my green charged hair and they also noticed us twice

Great show guys. Big fan of your guys music. Rancid changed my life. I saw you guys when I was 15 and it was just the experience man was transcendent. It was I think dv8 in seattle around 97? 98? Anyway bro thank you for being you lars. Side note I'm an evangelist and I would never want to change anything about you cuz you were created perfectly... it's just more about wanting you there in the next life with me is all. Hopefully that gives some fresh perspective. Also theres no such thing as hell for humans... if you dont accept life then when you die that's it nothing happens. Anyway love you guys great show

@strummerlover90333 жыл бұрын
Extremely so! At least he was in late 90s mid 2000s I’ve met him a few times & he’s exactly like he is here. Friendly, funny. All members of Rancid are. Lars actually spoke on this point in an interview once, saying he knows what it’s like to meet a musician u love &have them be cool to u. Ultra nice, vulgar humour &they always take the time to meet fans that took the time to wait to meet them. Maybe it’s different now idk. He has major back issues & shit. One time it was killing Jim &he still hung out to meet fans. So ya, don’t hesitate to say hi if u see him. ;)
