You forget it, and live your life, then fate holds nothing over you. Yet Zues, tries to delay, or stop it. Which can inadvertently cause him to make the prophecy happen.

Certain beings, Zeus could fight with his godly power, even Primordials such as Gaia, but Gaia is a nurturer of life and the world, so she is easy to put into a standoff-ish state when it came to their conflicts. But Nyx, Nyx is a Primordial of darkness and nonexistence. She can literally erase things and they will have never been. Pissing her off is the last thing any sane being would ever do. Chaos causes mayhem, and is the strongest of all Primordials, but within the world, Nyx is the scariest of all, because she can make you never have existed.

Cause he simply is the universe, or at least raw energy of everything that made the universe. Nyx is his daughter, Chaos is far more powerful then Nyx, as you said, but has no reason to do anything or take any side. Chaos isn't a name to match his alignment, it describes the chaotic energy before the earth and universe were fully formed. He could simply choose for someone not to exist in his universe but he considers such matters beneath him. There are very few stories of Chaos actually choosing a side on anything, but unlike Ymir from Norse mythology, Chaos at least didn't have to die to create the universe. His grandson on Nyx's side, the god of sleep, is a bit of a prankster cause while he's physically weak, he can use his sleep powers even on the Olympians no problem, even Zeus.

Naaa… Zeus doesn’t even realize that the possibility of that prophecy coming true would be if Minos actually tries to kill his son. It would then make him spiral into confusion and end up making that prophecy come to pass. Often times dwelling too much on prophecy or prediction and trying to subvert the result is abtually what makes the prophecy or prediction come true. Just live everyday and enjoy yourself. For a little bit of fun contex about the Minotaur prophesy Spoiler Warning So the prophesy was that the kings 1st child to draw breathe will kill him. Posidon made it so that he will have twins and told him to kill the 1st child. But for some reason he could not(probably his wife stopped him) so he imprisioned the child in a labyrinth and the child became the minataur. Thing is, the first child that was first born, was born with a problem that temporarily prevented him from breathing, and before the first child took breathe, the second child was born screaming. So the second child was the first child to draw breathe and later killed the king. This is all part of a scheme by poseidon to overthrow Zeus
