I think it sounds... cold? But in a good way. Overall that chorus just feels like haunting, cold, trapped in death. I think that ride sound *really* adds to that feel.

I really hope we have Zev on the next recording. The programmed drums that Mike and Zev made sounded incredible (and I honestly thought it was a really drummer) but I’d love to see the other band members get to perform and shine! Zev is an incredible drummer!

That Z custom ride cymbal is perfect for what he's doing. I'm back to using my 22-inch ping ride, I'm doing a lot of crash/riding on it, and for some reason, it sounds super awesome and heavy. I've never noticed that before. It's way more versatile than I thought

Solid performance. I love the simple approach, the simple kit and the raw power! The cymbals are great, however the ride cymbal does not like to be crashed, you can tell it is designed for a more pingy only-tip hit.

Beginner drummer here: During the breakdown his left foot is bouncy up on a pedal that I assumed was the kick but I can't hear it all. Is he doing something else with his foot? I thought it might be the hi hat lift but I didn't see it moving
@JonathanX95xboxlive6 ай бұрын
It's the hi hat. A lot of drummers will keep their hi hat foot going to either keep time or accent beats, or both.
