Antonín Dvořak was a truly divine spirit sent to earth for a short while to grace the world with his wonderful gifts. This cannot be said of all composers of that era. I am 77, and now learning to play this heavenly melody on violoncello.

Had achance back vhen I serve in Czechoslovak military at communist time, on skis sunday winter y.1965 visited his home south of Prague. Where he composed beauty lakes his pigeon, etc. House was like museum. His young granddaughter was happy see as out of (i was with friend) nowhere she started fire in fireplace,made some hot vino drink and give us beautiful biology, history of the composer. She was so happy since officially put down by the communist government because hi visited Capitalist America !!! Especially he wrote about the great Industrial DEVELOPMENT in USA. He mention that US had very high technology, bat very little music- culture. Estabilished numerous music conservatorims of high music education. I was very disgusted by the tyrany and persecution mine and my entire family for no reaso , so I escaped in sommer of 1966 to Denmark. After wetting mi for 10 month I emigrated to USA .Since 1967 in Arizona one year (very,very hot )than since 1968 in San Francisco. Hope why I specialy love A. Dvorak my countryman. Today it is not Czechoslovakia. In 1993 commarads split like Hitler in 1940. Today it is Czech Republic and Slovakia. I'm slovakian was living just across Danube river from Wienna, Austria Forgot, A. Listening again today... so moved. I long to hear the sounds of children singing and playing little gypsy games and songs when I hear this, and I imagine the tears that stream are for the loss of the mother or grandmother but also for the intense love of the children or child I imagine she or maybe he sings to...
