***** You say that as if rap is a bad musical genre.
@MisterBigBlunts
@MisterBigBlunts 9 жыл бұрын
Lunam Gallus No genre is "bad", but almost every #1 rap song in the past 15 years has been incredibly lazy. That's a fact. Now my OPINION is that rap is, indeed bad. But that is contrary to the fact.
@lunamgallus8301
@lunamgallus8301 9 жыл бұрын
MisterBigBlunts I mean, if you keep looking at the charts and what the biggest hits have been, of course you're only going to find bad stuff. You need to look for the good stuff, as you need to do for pop, rock, and everything else. Also, that's not a fact.
@MisterBigBlunts
@MisterBigBlunts 9 жыл бұрын
Lunam Gallus The main thing wrong here is the second half of your first sentence: "of course you're only going to find bad stuff." This was not the case from the 1970s going well back to the 1660s. Why is this ok now, when for the previous 300+ years of printed/recorded music, this wasn't the case? What music do we learn about in our history books? The #1 hits. Mozart was like the Lil Wayne of his day. Bach was the Drake of the 1700s, Liszt even had screaming fans that would go hysterical when he walked in the room, known as "Lisztomania" which was similar to "Beatlemania". Do you think that in 100 years anyone is going to be talking about Brotha Lynch and Immortal Technique? No, they are going to be talking about Lil Wayne and Drake. And this is why rap sucks. Because it should have stayed as an underground thing and not blown into the mainstream for producers to make puppets out of actors.
@lunamgallus8301
@lunamgallus8301 9 жыл бұрын
MisterBigBlunts It's not okay, but it's what the people like today. Times change, and so do people's tastes. Also, those won't be the only people remembered. There are many great rappers who are still making music, releasing it, and getting the recognition that they deserve on the charts. Wu Tang released an album not a year ago, and it was great. We're going to be learning about them and every other good rapper who made it and is making music that the people like, as well as Drake and Lil Wayne

I'd buy this on DVD if it was available. Along with most if not all their other music. All their soloists are superb. I need to mention that guy playing violin, as good as any violinist I've ever heard. OMG, The dour looking guy in percussion is even smiling during the "can can". Wow!

The Gimnazija Kranj Symphony is not a school orchestra. It is a semi professional orchestra associated with and sponsored by a school, containing a mix of professional and youth musicians. Some of these are indeed very talented kids from schools. Others are professional musician graduates of music schools. I believe that the only specification for membership (besides great musicianship) is that you must still be considered a "Youth". (broadly speaking that is)!

What a marvelous symphony orchestra!!! It's hard to pick out a favorite, but the first chair violin is outstanding, as is the cellist, clarinetist and bassoonist!!! Heck... they're all great! The whole orchestra!

I'm playing this piece in a community band right now. I'm a freshman in highschool, so my chair isn't high, but I hope I can play the clarinet solo in this someday. The whole slow section with the cello, flute, oboe and clarinet solos is so beautiful.

I've just realised I share birthdays with Jacques Offenbach! When I was at Teachers Training College, the Music Deprtment and the Theatre Club staged 'Orpheus In The Underworld'. (1970) I was co-stage manager. It was brilliant (although I say it myself) and a highlight in my life.

Bravo! Wonderful! I never get tired of praising this brilliant orchestra of young musicians from Kranj, a small town in Eslovenia, in the heart of Europe. Bravo Matjaz Bagotaj (Spalla), bravo Nadja Drakslar (first Clarinet), bravo first Oboe, bravo first flute, bravo maestro Nejc Becan and greetings from Brazil! I hope one day I can attend a concert of this wonderful orchestra!

SphericThor1 trust me. As a former musician, a fun director, a director who feels the music and express his/her joy while directing, is the best that can happen to you. I used to play alt sax, and my first director was my sax teacher, and seriously, that man LOVED directing: he would jump to introduce the crescendos, do this thing with the neck like hens do to point out the picatto... Definitely a show, and we the players followed him with proper performances. It was actually fun to go to rehearsals with him. Later on I had the complete opposite: a director who didn't show much feeling, it was like he was angry with the sheet and the group. Needless to say, performances were never that good.
