I am Chinese and I have a question. Among the Chinese people, we believe that Western countries implement public happy education for ordinary people, while the rich adopt private elite education. This means that unless they are particularly outstanding, ordinary people will not have access to good universities. Is this true?

Actually it's very kind of normal for chinese students still need to learn after school,We call it self-study class,if you live in school's dormitory you will be force to take the class and usually end at 21:30,and there will be teacher to inspect also. We believe learning is only way to change your destiny and to reach higher level in the future.
@@晓凡白 didn't your teacher tell you that a looot of millionaires from tech giants in US are drop outs? even Steve Jobs that you Chinese people admired? This kind of schooling will only create slaves work force for corporations, leaving no time for young people to live and do what they are passionate about. China will never have soft power.

Gosh, i envy them for having no extra class😭.My class officially start at 7 but we have extra class at 6 am also ending at 11 am. At noon, we officially start at 2 pm but we start extra class at 12pm ending officially at 4 pm but extra class until 6pm.We also have outside English school.So, 12 hours studying a day if we don't count doing hw at home or study.😭😭😭.Now, the government is planning to shutdown extra classes but i don't whether it was bad or good luck but for teachers who have a house near the school we would go to study there and the extra class price will increase.
@donnashreeingti15972 жыл бұрын
I guess taking extra tutoring classes is common in every Asian country and hence the pressure on the students. I used to wake up at 5 am and come home around 2 pm then do some hw or just eat n sleep then leave for extra coaching classes around 3 and come home around 9 pm. I even had to do school's and coaching' hw and self study...gosh that was so tiring n not to mention the coaching was so expensive in itself. @xairttt71302 жыл бұрын
First of all, the answer to the first question is that we don't need to take books home because there are so many books that we might need two backpacks or more. If it is a holiday, people may choose more. Take your homework home instead of taking all your books The answer to the second question is that Chinese students need to use a lot of books, including textbooks and some extra-curricular teaching materials. Schools will often require you to purchase teaching AIDS so that you are not far apart from other excellent students. In public high schools in China, more than 90% of accommodation is compulsory, so it is quite normal to have dormitories. Generally speaking, each class lasts 45 minutes. Of course we. There are very few computer lessons, art lessons, music lessons and crafts lessons. Most of the time our head teacher will occupy these lessons. The head teacher is usually the teacher of Chinese, mathematics and English, because these three subjects are the main subjects of Chinese education (of course, there are many head teachers are physics or even physical education teachers, that is a relatively small situation Chinese classrooms are actually very boring and crowded. There are 53 people in my class.LOL😂

Are there also different strands in Chineses SHS? For context, in our country we have STEM and Humanities and Social Sciences.
@沐风-v3t Жыл бұрын
The division of disciplines in China is different from that in your country. Chinese, mathematics, and foreign language (usually English) are all fixed. In the past, it was divided into liberal arts and science. Liberal arts include history, geography and politics, and science includes physics, chemistry and biology. But now things have changed. Chinese, mathematics, and English are still fixed. What has changed is that there are two fixed subjects. You can choose one subject from Physics and History and two subjects from Politics, Geography and Biochemistry. The only similarity is that after graduating from high school, we choose a major when applying to college. If we choose physics, we will have STEM-related majors. If we choose history, we can apply for social sciences. The above content was translated by Google and may contain errors.
