People, you weren't born in the wrong generation. It's much better now. All of this music is now at your fingertips, in the best quality! Back in the day, the friggin' dark ages, you would have missed out on so much of this good stuff, because it would be that much harder to know about, discover, or even buy.

Yeah, information aplenty, we'll never know how it is to be super-rich in the middle of the bubble, driving a cabrio into the sunrise by the seaside, in Tokyo Bay, after a night of passion with a young and lively lady whose first interest is having mindless fun. The sea breeze in your hair, the empty road, this music playing... (EDIT: I hadn't read the translated lyrics before I told you this, but apparently it's what the song is all about!)

A middle-of-the -night joke I'll soon be inside a morning Guess it's close... This smell A drive all alone This's right off the top of my head A middle-of-the -night joke I'm not good at getting up early But staying up late, it depends on my mood I'm a female who I can drive flat out any time I want Though the same is true of love, it's just a joke when I start a love There's nobody and no oncoming car I'm drifting away alone In the case of a drama, a guy is there when I look at passenger seat Cool guy who I have ever seen once or twice This's a bad joke, so stop it! I'll soon be inside a morning Guess it's close... This smell A drive all alone This's right off the top of my head A middle-of-the -night joke With luck, I might be able to see the sea With luck, I'm able to forget it I'm a female who I cry in regret after joking too much "This is trueth," I'll be able to say that but I keep on drive The way I am, remain unchanged

omg i seriously love how soft and how everything she says rolls of the tongue, it's just so beautiful and she's so beautiful and perfect and her voice is like liquid gold.
3 years ago I was at rock bottom. I was depressed and lost more will to live with each day that ended. My daughter was about to be born and I was out of a job and I had dropped out of college and I was just watching how uninspired my life was, so I listened to this song for many nights and allowed her to hold on to my feelings and that was liberating. Many years may pass but whenever I listen I will remember the feeling, the loneliness and being filled with yourself. stay well!

It has been more than 2 years since I discovered Japanese music from this period and some other artists like Nujabes (all thanks to anime). That discovery has brought so many days of happiness and singing through my house in my version of Japanese 😂 ... but it also brought much more nights of strange, intense, nirvana-like feelings... It was so different than anything else that I became certain this music gives super-powers to mind-travel through time, places, lives, feelings, memories... Still, what makes me the happiest is this comment section that even after 2 years I still read and always feel the need to share how I feel with someone who understands me and this magical music! So I wish you ALL the magic in this world because you have the ability to see it and cherish it ❤️

This is one of the best pieces of music i know. The ease and groove of an soul and jazz instrumental are common most times, but this one has mastered the art of capturing a night lantern flair. Japanese philosophy (asian) of harmony and balance might have helped creating this gem. "Hiroshi Suzuki-Romance" has a similar preciousness.
