津波の被害を受けた釜石市（震災当日 : 夜9時ごろ）。釜石市大渡町の商店街で撮影。
川には、何台もの車が水没している。さらに住宅地へと向かうスタッフ。
すでに街は真っ暗で、人の気配すらなく、津波で破壊された車などの残骸だけが目につく。
どの家屋や建物も、津波によって、さまざまな物が流れ込み、破壊されている。
形容しがたいほど、さまざまな物の入り混じった、がれきの山が道路を埋め尽くしている。
何台も折り重なった車、電柱にもたれかかる車、折れ曲がった信号機、がれきに埋もれた消防車...。
暗闇、行く手に横たわる危険ながれき、そして絶え間なく続く余震などに、身の危険を感じたスタッフは、それ以上の進行を断念した。

Day of the earthquake at night in Kamaishi city. Kamaishi city has suffered the damages of the tsunami (Day of earthquake, around 9 p.m.) Footage shot from shopping street of Oowatari-cho, Kamaishi city. Many cars have sunk underwater into the river. Staff move further on to the residential area but the city is already dark, without a person in sight. Remains of cars destroyed by the tsunami are witnessed. Every single house and building is destroyed by the tsunami, and various objects have poured inside. Unable to make out or describe the jumble of contents, mountains of debris are piling up on the road. Cars are stacked on top of each other or leaning on electric poles. There is a bent traffic light and fire trucks buried in debris. Staff give up on further investigation due to a sense of threat they feel from darkness, dangerous rubble prohibiting one's path, and incessant aftershocks.
