I am so proud of Nigel for poking fun of the CCP as a Malaysian. Remember the last time he made a video with Mikey and the next thing he did was apologize for not checking Mikey's background before the colab. Back then, I was so dissapointed. They weren't even making a political video. They were just making some dimsum videos and he got cancelled because Mikey's political stand which was not mentioned in the video at all.

Yes I remember that as well and I’ve not watched any of his videos (after he so quickly apologised for nothing) since then. Now I will watch his shows again.

Yup, I still remember that quite well. The irony is that both of the videos were later deleted, and the chef has passed away😢RIP

Yes I remember that video incident and unfollowed him right afterwards. I was surprised that he stood up for not choosing to kneel down to commies. Now I can refollow him 😊
Wait, Uncle Roger is now mocking Xi? When did that start? I'm old enough to remember when Uncle Roger made a collaboration video with Mike Chen a.k.a. Strictly Dumpling, then took down that video after learning about Chen's anti-CCP stance. Uncle Roger was clearly trying to appease his audience in China, writing this on Weibo: "My staff and I would like to express our sincerest apologies to everyone. . . . I wasn’t aware of his political thoughts and his past 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘴 about China." I thought this was unfair because their collaboration video was apolitical. In fact, the Strictly Dumpling channel is completely apolitical. So I'm surprised that Uncle Roger is now joking about Xi, apparently not caring anymore about placating his audience in China. I think he owes Chen an apology.
Very insightful perspective! Thank you! I once also approved Will Smith’s behavior like many Chinese and Taiwanese. But after calm thinking, I found out that supporting physical violence against verbal opinion is harmful to free of speech.
I'm from Taiwan. I was a fan of Will Smith, but I don't support violence. In my opinion, lots of Taiwanese don't support Will Smith's reaction to that joke.

Actor and the person can be very different. He and his wife has an open relationship because she wants it. Why would any normal man accept that?

Alot of chinese speaking community supported Will Smith on that slap. That includes a the Taiwanese that I know. And even chinese in Malaysia.
Awesome, dude! I feel like you emerge as a form of your own comedic art style plus a side of _Don Rickles._ I don't know many Asian comedians that roast the CCP outside of LeLe. I'd love to learn more about them & support!
It's not surprising SOME Taiwanese audience was siding with Will Smith on that slapping event. Although Taiwan has drastically transited from an authoritarian regime to a democratic society, it has just happened in these couple of decades. Some still possess paternalism and find that Will's misconduct was just an act of Being a Man for the sake of protecting Jada. It comes from the root of traditional Chinese (Han) culture and its geographical location surrounded by more hierarchical societies.
I’m not even your target audience. nonetheless, this was a great and fantastic video! It was motivational even for me. Thank you on behalf of the world
