As much as I love my mighty American trains, I love watching railroad videos from other countries too. Japan is a great place for railroad enthusiasts. Whether you like old -fashioned Japanese steam, rapid transit, or in insanly fast bullet trains, Japan is the place for you! btw, most of these whistles sound like d&rgw 5 chimes! Aight I'll shut up now.
Japanese trains have the best whistles in the world

You dont see steam locomotives these modern days. C 517 is the best Japanese Locomotive that brings memories who rode her. Alot of trains that are famous, just like this "not soo famous" train. She's not big, but she can sure run!

Being an American railfan and enthusiast of steam locomotives, it’s interesting how Japanese steam locomotives have an American and British inspired build. Would love one of these to come over to the US someday

The gold look lining is something I can say "Its beyond Impressive". But don't compare these lovely ladies to the Big Boys. The boys are truly monsters, not cool looking but poweeful to attract crowds. Just keep them away, its not healthy to be near a oil consumer

@A Photographer From California. Not likely. The main Japanese rail system shown in this vid is 3'6" gauge, so there would be no existing place to run it. U.S. railroads are standard gauge (4' 8.5") and the very few remaining narrow gauge lines are 3' and 2' gauge, IIRC. The only way to run it here would be to lay an extra rail inside a standard gauge line's track, an expensive project.

Re-visiting this video, there’s something graceful about these Japanese steam locomotives. Can’t quite put my finger on it. Compared to the steamers that are American narrow gauge, which put the P in Power, these locomotives E in Elegance
I love Steam locomotives especially the Japanese ones. I went to Japan but sadly I never rode on any one of them. Even they are my favorite as well. Also 0:00-1:12 what the name of the song in your opening? just curious
