ZS spends his birthday every year singing for his fans for 2-4 hours continuously live in his weibo (Chinas equivalent of Facebook) from his apartment in Shanghai. How many singers in the world will do this for their fans??!? You can feel his passion for singing, his humor and humility. You just want to embrace and love and protect him, his sweetness and vulnerability at the same time. He doesn’t enjoy private socializing after his performances and shows and prefers to retreat into his world of music. Perhaps that’s why he’s unspoiled.

He had a live performance on April 28 singing The Brightness in the Beijing International Film Festival. He will be performing Live tonight on Chinese National CCTV Channel singing Towards the Light (translated). To be honest, as a Chinese, when I listen to Zhou Shen's songs usually do not know what the lyrics are. It's not that I can't hear them clearly, or that they are not well expressed. It's just that my attention is drawn to his instrumental voice.
