I love the analogue watch on the dashboard to keep timings to. The pointing for checking procedures, that says you have done it. Simply add effective, hence their incredible safety record.
Japanese train drivers do this thing called pointing and calling, meaning they point and call out safety critical things (in this case, the signal). Its been proven to reduce human errors.

@@ナミブ砂漠 HELLO JAPAN !!,...I REALIZED ITS A RULE , BUT MY ANSWER IS ..WHY ?? ARE YOU A TRAIN DRIVER YOURSELF ??...HOW IS JAPAN AND HER PEOPLE DOING ??....ALSO MY OTHER COMMENT...ARE THE HIGH SPEED TRAINS IN JAPAN " MADE IN CHINA "...DO TO CHINAS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY ?? ( A WISE CHINESE MAN TOLD ME THEY ARE MADE IN CHINA ) .

@@COFFEE-e3p The reason why we have "Point and confirm" rule is to improve safety. there is a research result if you do point and confirm confirmation target, then the possibility of occuring human error would be one-sixth. And allmost all of the parts of Japanese high speed trains are made in Japan. Some parts perhaps are made in Germany.

@@ナミブ砂漠 thank-you for your response, i talked to this chinese engineer and he told me yes, some of the trains are built in japan but with the technology taken from china, is this correct, if this is so then japan has much to thank china for .....agree ??
