It seems punk experimenting with other characters was detrimental to his cammy. I think punk should have a pocket character but I believe that pocket character should be modern cammy. This is due to Modern Cammy having answers classic cammy does not. All the while playing the same character but with a different approach. Imagine someone with punk's reaction using modern cammy on DJ... God like drive rush huh, a 1 frame input that executes her 9 frame drill will check that drive rush, believed me. You wanna sway in neutral, hell even an 8 frame OD sway? go for it, the 1 frame input it will take to execute her 6 frame dp will reach and punish you.

Would definitely want to see him playing Modern Cammy. Cammy is one of these characters don’t lose out too many useful options in modern controls. No longer has a jab game but she is still alright.

You're thinking too much into this. These matches happened legitimately a week after Gamers8, which was also directly after Evo. After he came back from gamers8 he ended up beating Zhen in the AT&T event. Cammy's worst matchup is deejay. Some characters don't do well into others. It happens
