Thanks Leon, it's a cracking gimbal for the price. It makes me look an awful lot better than I am.

This is a great review and I'm so glad it was with a Nikon attached. I've just bought this gimbal and for the life of me cannot connect it to the 3e. Do you have any tips? All hardware is up to date. The gimbal says its connected via Bluetooth but the back of my camera asks me to 'follow the app'. Not even sure what that means but I'm clearly not connecting properly. Z6ii this is with. 😢

Hi Martin, did you email me earlier? If so I replied to the email. I generally use the cable connection from the second USB port on the gimbal tilt arm to the camera for a few reasons, firstly no bluetooth pairing and messing and less battery power loss, secondly, it gives you more functionality, like being able to use the front wheel to control your aperture or ISO or shutter speed. Also check the record button on the gimbal as it's like a shutter button with a half press mode. You need to press it slightly harder for it to switch on and off the recording.

@kieranhayesphotography I did sir (without realising it was you again here - sorry about that!) I'll look for the email, but part of my failing appears to be me underestimating how hard the 2nd press works. I've now got record working on the gimbal. I'll bash on! Thank you so much for your swift response....you've saved me some grey hairs....I've been reading everything and getting nowhere 😂

@@Martinwhynot No problem at all Martin, if you want the front wheel to work then you will have to go with the wired control option unfortunately. TBH I much prefer the wired option as my camera is usually on airplane mode to conserve battery power. Interested to hear if you tried the settings I suggested for the gimbal speed dead and etc... and how it worked for you. It's a great little gimbal though.

Thanks to Kieran's massively helpful steer above, I've now got my Nikon and Weebill 3e gimbal working exactly as described. Thank you soooo much! 😊

This gimbal has a big cons, its not possible to balance it right with a quick release plate like the Ulanzi quick release with a camera cage, the vertical bridge its too short. So, we need to remove the entire plate to remove the camera from it, thats really bad.

Have you tried using the balancing weights I mention at 29:39 in the video, that will help off set the off centre weight then. It all depends on your camera and it's size also. I am not saying it will definitely work but I have used it for heavier longer lenses and it did the trick. I hope that helps a bit.
