@kieranhayesphotography does this light really work with NP-F batteries with the PS010E adapter? Would the voltages work? Would any brand of NP-F batteries work? Have you actually tested this, did Neewer tell you this? That is not mentioned at all on the light's official website, only V-mount is mentioned. Also, on the website the PS010E is said to work with "lights with up to 60W power". Can you confirm the MS150C works with NP-F batteries? I have a bunch of those batteries and would love to buy this light and use it outside, but I don't want to invest in V-mount batteries.
@kieranhayesphotography4 сағат бұрын
It was mentioned on the website and I use it via VMount batteries and mains. I never tried them on that light but when I look on the website now that is no longer mentioned but on the Bi colour version the "B" model. You can see that for yourself on this link.. ie.neewer.com/products/neewer-ms150b-130w-bi-color-led-video-light-66602997?pr_prod_strat=e5_desc&pr_rec_id=dad8c2400&pr_rec_pid=6687184224352&pr_ref_pid=6991914958944&pr_seq=uniform That's the Irish version of the website but it clearly mentions it works on that light. So in all honesty I can't say it will or won't work. Sorry about that, I wish I could be more help there.
@andreyspiridonovСағат бұрын
@@kieranhayesphotography thanks for your quick reply! I guess I will send an e-mail to Neewer and hope they see it. It's very weird that on the B-model it says power is limited to 44W with the NP-F batteries. That is way too low, even my 60W Jinbei lights can be powered by two NP-Fs.
@kieranhayesphotography8 минут бұрын
@andreyspiridonov 44 watts is crazy low. On a V mount battery it does drop down below 100 watts due to the input voltage drop. But 16v to 14.8v isn't that much to drop the power down by half again. When I originally did the review there was nothing about limited power output on the NPF batteries. I am guessing an email from Neewer will set matters straight and again sorry I can't be of more help with this.

What about colour and texture quality… that’s what i’m after …. is it the same between them ? I’ve seen beautiful colour in z7 2 pics, can i get the same in the z6 2
@kieranhayesphotography7 сағат бұрын
Hello, yes, there is little to no difference in colour between these two cameras and if anything I think the Z6ii has a slight edge for colour reproduction but there is very little in it. Texture quality would be similiar but just remeber the Z7ii is a higher resolution sensor so it will give you more detail than the Z6ii but you need to zoom in to see that. I hope that helps a small bit.

Silly question do you need to use a defuser since it says it has one built in? Any idea why it’s referred to as an outdoors flash?
@kieranhayesphotography2 күн бұрын
With diffusion the bigger the light source or diffuser the softer the light. So a larger diffuser will render less harsh lighting, I had planned on doing a video on this so I might get that done in January to explain this in more detail. The "outdoor flash" statement is to highlight it's battery operated so you can bring it outdoors. It just helps to showcase you are not tied to mains power. I hope that helps a bit and thanks for watching.

What concerns me about the Elgato Prompter or any teleprompter is that the screen may be too small, which could cause me to squint to see the words. My experience with increasing the font size on my Android phone has shown me that I end up with only three words-or not even a full sentence-visible before it scrolls down automatically. This is frustrating because I find myself racing to keep up with the scrolling while trying to read, and I have to slow down considerably since there are only a few words displayed at a time due to the larger font size. What I’m looking for in a teleprompter is a screen size that can accommodate a mini iPad 4th generation screen, a font size allowing me to read one or two full sentences at a time, which would prevent headaches and eliminate the hassle of squinting, racing, and scrolling while I read. After watching multiple reviews on KZbin, I noticed that many users share the complaint about the screen being too small and the need to squint to read the scrolling text. If I find myself squinting to read the few word that is coming out from the teleprompter, pausing while waiting for the next words to come up, not only my video will be useless but my blood pressure could rise, leading to frustration. While the Elgato Prompter seems like a good option, I can't risk my health by experiencing high blood pressure because of the frustration.

Guys! I bought the Nikon ZF yesterday. I have been a Sony A7 iii user for long. I compared the raws from the cameras. Surprisingly, the Sony a7 iii raws are not only bigger in size but also more detailed at high ISOs. I can't seem to get the same details from the ZF files. Also the preview on the ZF screen is very poor quality. All the details are only visible in LR. How to get same amount of details as the Sony and how to get a faithful preview on the ZF screen? Please help. The ZF is still in returns window.

Hi Jessica, if you want to mount it to your phone then a phone cage and something like a magic arm would be the best solution. Very helpful video. Thank you. I’m looking at getting this lens and a Z8 as a retirement treat. But I’ll take your advice and will keep my 300/f4E and 1.4TC. If subjects are close enough and at a consistent distance, that’ll be on my camera. But otherwise it’ll be the zoom. I do agree that when getting initial focus is tricky, it’s useful to be able to zoom back a bit, pick it up and then zoom in. I did have the 200-500 but was seriously unimpressed and my 300mm easily outlasted it.

Now that's a tricky one, the higher resolution of the Z7ii is going to come in handy for larger landscape prints and for wildlife the ability to crop the image more for greater reach is going to help a lot also. Good video, awesome tests, but for me as a Z8 professional video shooter the real test would be to test for camera overheating shutdown/ high temps warnings. The hot card warning is mostly cosmetic. CF Express Card Type B runs hot and its normal to have a hot card warning. I think that a test on the overheating shutdown/yellow /red high temp warnings times would be telling much more information on the plate modifications effectiveness. At the moment with no modifications... In a Cage with a fully rigged Z8 (22 Celsius room temps ) I can record RAW 8k 30p indefinitely in a normal all day shoot without having a shutdown but the red high temp warning comes up and off more and more as the day goes by... I think this plate would be awesome to drastically reduce high temps warnings for an all day video shoot. Hopefully you can do another round of test with my suggestions...Keep up the good work !! And thanks for your videos ! Can't wait for Part 3 😀

Nice comparison of these two lenses. If I were a pro I would likely make sure I had the f/1.2 but as an photo enthusiast I would be very happy with the f1.8 but perhaps you could change your test chart to a different type since it’s very hard to see any differences most of the time especially through YT. Maybe if you zoom in to 200% and used a more complex chart that would help for viewers to more clearly see any differences in the center and in each of the corners to determine proper optical centering.
@kieranhayesphotography17 күн бұрын
Hi Glenn, Thanks for the feedback and yes I did consider zooming in at 200% on this chart and trust me there is loads of detail in those tiny little lines, I went into immense detail when making this chart for those very reasons. Trying to futureproof it for higher resolution sensors and sharper lenses but in all honesty I think the main reason why you don't see that much of a difference is because there isn't a huge difference between them. I will pop up a blog post on one of my websites with photos over the next week or so that should give you the visual confirmation you are looking for then. I will let you know when I get time to do that. When I am viewing this I am looking at it on a 32 inch monitor only about 16" away from me or otherwise on a 55" tv. I can still see the differences there but as I say they are slight. How are you viewing it? I ask as I am curious to know how I can show this better to people going forward and maybe I should zoom into 200% going forward as you suggested. On the Pro vs photo enthusiast side of things I honestly see no difference between them really as we are all just photographers and trust me clients don't see the difference sadly. The only difference on the pro side of things is when I go on a fashion shoot on a beach let's say it could be a 500m or 800m trek and when you have two camera bodies, lighting, spare lighting, several diffusers, a ton of batteries and two tripods and a laptop bag and about 8-10 lenses with you.... You really start to think about what you need with you as you can't leave stuff on the beach and go back, well not with 20-30k worth of gear sitting on the beach anyway. So, that F1.2 if you know you need it, then it has to go in the bag but if you think there is a only a slim chance you might use it then it could very well stay in the bag in the car. That's what I was trying to say without sounding like an arse in the video, it's an amazing lens but on a shoot you need loads of amazing lenses and that means at least two very big heavy bags. Funny story I did a shoot on an island one day for a company and everyone was on the small boat we hired to bring us over and when I got on the boat it sank quiet a bit and everyone looked at me :-) Thanks again for the input and feedback, my aim is to continue to improve these videos but as I am sure you can understand running a full time photography business, KZbin is only a slight hobby that has gotten completely out of hand :-)

Godox AD200 Pro VS Neewer Q200, which one is more dependable, has better color accuracy, and which one is built better? I am always on the hunt for the best affordable off/on camera flashes. The Godox V1-N has been my favorite flash for so long now.
@kieranhayesphotography17 күн бұрын
Dependability I would be lying if I answered that as I have only had the Q200 for about a month now but so far it's spot on and has never failed to function for me in anyway. Build quality wise I genuinely couldn't fault either of them and as for colour accuracy again no difference there either from my tests. The AD200 Pro has the option of bare bulb so that's nice but the Q200 then has that super bright 10w modelling light. There are pro's and conns to both I suppose is the right answer there.

When you explain that the Z6 is twice as sensitive to light as a Z7 because it has half the pixels and thus each pixel is twice as large makes me cringe. That is NOT how it works. In the end, both sensors have the same size, so with the same exposure they capture the same amount of photons, thus the total signal is equally strong in both cases. Now with more pixels, the signal per pixel is lower, and the noise per pixel might be roughly equal. Thus, if you zoom in such that you have 10000 pixels or so on your screen, the Z7 will look worse, but that is also because you show half the area of the Z6 image. The opposite is actually true, you have more detail due to the higher number of pixels. And although the noise per pixel is higher, the increase in detail actually means that when viewing both images at 100%, the Z7 image looks better, similar noise but more detail. In addition, that additional detail can be exploited in AI noise removal programs, they will produce a better result because of the higher detailed input. If you don't believe me, go to DP review, they have a great comparison tool, put the two cameras in and check the difference for yourself.
@kieranhayesphotography19 күн бұрын
Exactly both sensors are the same size, that my point exactly. The boundary wall or edges of each pixel are doubled on the Z7ii as it has twice the amount t of them so less surface area for the pixels. I can tell you for a fact and most trusted websites will agree the Z7ii definitely performs worse at higher ISO's than the Z6iii check it for yourself. That's fact.

I've been shooting this lens for a year now. The only downsides are (1) Size/weight and (2) terrible close focus/magnification (0.15x). These can be mitigated by (1) a better strap+larger bag and (2) a set of extension tubes.

Great review. About v mount battery.. Product specifications say that I gotta use a 16.8v battery for outdoor power supply. But my question is… Is it possible to use a lower power v battery like a 14.4v? If that’s the case, how is the performance?
@kieranhayesphotography22 күн бұрын
Now that's a very good question, the v mount batteries I have here are all the 16.8 volt versions. Now in saying that the two NPF batteries that this light can work off would only make up 14.4volts (7.2 volts per battery) so I am presuming a 14.4volt v mount battery should not be an issue at all then. In saying that I also can't say that for certain either. Sorry I can't give you a 100% positive answer on this one. On the v mount batteries the light is stated to lower its output to roughly around 90 watts. It's still very bright though, but that does depend on what you want to use it for of course.
