I'm thinking about buying this gimbal primarily for use with a phone. Did you have trouble getting it truly balanced with the phone - i.e. was the phone balanced even after powering the gimbal off? Did you try an Android phone? If so, did you have any issues with the Zihyun ZY Play app working with your phone? Did you use another app instead? If so, which one?
@DreamDuoFilms4 жыл бұрын
Hey, man! I don't really use the app, I hate using apps when filming, as a run and gun shooter it would only slow me down. Yes, we tried the iphone 11 on this gimbal and balancing was pretty easy, not as easy and with the gimbals which were made only for phones, but the great thing about this gimbal is that you can balance it once and then use the quick release system on it so you won't have to balance your phone twice. I mean, if a stabilised my camera and lens, which was around 700 grams, then balancing a phone will be a piece of cake!
@phillystyle4454 жыл бұрын
@@DreamDuoFilms Whatever gimbal I purchase will be my first gimbal. I keep hearing about the benefit of this design when it comes to balancing it once (for a device) and then it's already balanced for future uses. That sounds like a big selling point to me. This gimbal might have more bells and whistles than I really need but I figure if I grow to like shooting with a gimbal I can decide to use dedicated cameras. This way I would not have to buy another gimbal because this one handles multiple types of devices. We'll see. Anyway, I really appreciate the response. Thank you for your impressions.
@DreamDuoFilms4 жыл бұрын
@@phillystyle445 Exactly, man. I actually took this gimbal on a trip around Europe and it was so awesome having such a tiny gimbal in your bag, which you can use to not only shoot stuff with your phone, but to do professional work as well. Since the gimbal is lightweigth, it might not be comparable with the bigger boys in the market, but it does the job just fine. We filmed 2 real estate videos with it, a whole 2 day street performance video, you just..can't beat the size! If you have any questions, just let me know! By the way I'd recommend you to rent out the M2 first to see whether you like it or not. That's the best way to find out whether that's the right tool for you and if you decide to purchase the gimbal, you can *Shameless Plug* use the link in the description to get yourself a small discount for the product!
