Zhiyun Smooth Q2 | Should you buy this gimbal?!

If I had to choose between the Smooth 4, M2 and Smooth Q2, what are the different features and why would i buy one over another? Please let me know. I will choose one of these three for use with a smartphone and the new GoPro. Or should I get a DJI Osmo Pocket? Thanks! :)

osmo pocket has wicked rolling shutter, and the battery is good for about 400 charges and not replaceable.

Hi dude, great video! I landed into your video as just yesterday i’ve ordered the Q2. The gimbal can afford a case with a 3rd party lens as its motors are so powerful! This is the reason why i chose the Q2 instead of the dji OM3. Cheers from Italy by a new subscriber

bought this gimbal. upset that the calibration does not help to fix the problem that the picture is askew (like its not 90 degrees but 88 degrees or smth and you can notice it!). and sometimes the gimbal makes a swing which is annoying since i should actively move when filming...

I purchased my smooth Q2 yesterday around 2pm....at 7pm I went out ro record for the first time due my experience with DJI osmo mobile 2....I recorded 107 short clips.....any of the 107 clips worth......I am using it as I use my DJI and all the videos have bobble the stabilization is poor and in paning mode in all the videos the motor show up as well in the Lock mode....I am desapointed to invest money in that gimble......I will sell it to recover part of my money....

In terms of size the Osmo Mobile 3 is more comparable to the Benro 3XS. The Benro 3XS is better than the Osmo Mobile 3 because it can charge USB-C and run audio to the phone. The Smooth Q2 is smaller than both of those phones but lack USB-C to the phone.

Neither the Q2 or the Osmo Mobile 3 come standard with the tripod legs -- they are part of a $20 extra bundle with the Mobile 3. That said, one of the pluses of the Q2 is it will stand and balance even with a phone without the tripod legs, while the Mobile requires them to stand on its own.

no issues clamping the phone with a case on the far right side near the edge. the amazing thing about this gimbal is it balances itself out without manual adjustment. probably will hold well with some lens compared to dji osmo mobile 3

I already own the Zhiyun Smooth 4 (purchased too soon) :-( and have reserved one of these through Zhiyun's kickstarter. Although it can sync with a smartphones native camera, one thing I am curious about is if it will eventually work with the Android App 'Filmic Pro', one of the best for smartphone-based video production. I did communicate through the kickstarter site regarding this, and here is the reply (as of yesterday 190827) Will this have compatibility with the application Filmic Pro ( www.filmicpro.com/ ) similar to Zhiyun's Smooth 4 gimbal product? - We are now working with the Filmic Pro engineering team, hopefully we will have a fixed solution to make Smooth-Q2 compatible. We will work to make it happen, but honesty at this stage, it is not compatible. We will update if there's any new progress. Just FYI and heads up.
