@@deeilman1333 same, but only when you hold it horizontally, seems like the motors do not move smooth enough because of weakness or not balanced properly, although the phone itself balanced perfectly. Might be the motor calibration will help, not tried yet.

I got mine, and I like it - a LOT. I own other gimbals big and small, all Feiyu, and have previously owned a Snoppa Atom and a Smooth 4 (I didn't like either). I like this for it's size, build quality, REPLACEABLE battery, dependable bluetooth connection, and the little magic tricks in the app. In my opinion, this is the best small smartphone gimbal of 2019. After much review and comparison to the DJI mobile 3 I bought the Q2. VERY happy with this gimbal. Love the all metal construction. He gimbal feels very solid in the hand. The phone holder is slick once you get use to it. Motors are strong! Initially out of the box it does everything as advertised, easily. Love this thing. Built like a little BSH!

Great tutorial. Just one problem. At 4:40 you say that the next mode is selfie mode. But it's not where any of the other modes are and there's no explanation as to how you got into selfie mode. After some Googling I found out that you have to press the power button 3 times to enter selfie mode. Also, it won't work in combination with ultra wide angle mode. Which is unfortunate considering that the motor shows up even in my normal wide angle. I fixed this by moving the phone until the gimbal is out of the shot but it drains the battery very quickly this way. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Besides that, it's a great little gimbal. I just got it for Christmas and I'll definitely start vlogging with this instead of my DSLR on a gorilla pod. That heavy setup was giving me shoulder problems.

I just got mine, getting used to the controls. This thing is small, which is great. Also I can add tripod legs to the bottom or even attach it to a monopod and use it like a jib! I have the iphone 11 pro max and when you press the record button 3 times the motor stays out the way of the lens! So far I'm happy I got this over the Osmo Mobile 3.

@@jazmanshakirah206 I have not used the Osmo 3 mobile at all, but based on videos I watched and just the size and handle part of it was seamed useless. Plus I heard it was not compatible with iPhone 11 pro max. I took my Q2 on vacation and was able to put it in my pocket when I wasn't using it. I could stand it on the table without tripod legs or you could also attach a tripod to the bottom.

Arm Shah you have to hit record before then just raise and shoot. You can trim the part you don’t want out later.

I want to like this product, but I’m struggling at every turn. In wide mode, you can see the gimbal (I have my phone almost off the edge and it’s still visible if I use the “selfie mode” shortcut) The new firmware to keep the motor out of ultra-wide mode works if I move at the slowest pace possible, but even then, has a chance of showing the motor in frame. I’m on an iPhone 11 pro and I’m compromising a lot of features to make this gimbal work for me

I almost picked up DJI Osmo mobile 3, until I saw this new gimbal from zhiyun and it sure enough it piqued my curiosity and got me interested. Now I just need to see some reviews with iphone 11 pro (ultra wide lens) and see if the rear motor (the roll axis) gets in the way of that 120 degree field of view. It won't work with your Samsung Galaxy s10 plus with supcase on as well as iPhone 11 pro max with supcase on since cellphone holder is way too small for the larger phones. No vertigo zoom option, not ideal for the larger phones since control arms touch the phone and upon gimbal power off your phone fell down quickly and can cause the breakdown of the phone camera lenses or phone itself.

Smooth Q2 (unlike Smooth Q or Smooth 4) has no zoom. That's why it's more expensive: instead of moving your finger for close up you've got to move your feet which gives you exercise needed to stay healthy.)

You were testing it with an iPhone or Android one? Zhiyun app was notorious for not working properly on Android in 2019, not sure how it goes now.

No, he forgot to mention that you may have to slide the phone in 4 directions. I have a Redmi Note 8 Pro and the balance is only achieved in a position which you don't expect. Sadly, the app can't find the phone when already connected to another one. Huh? It could at least find it.

Please Help - I bought Zhiyun Smooth Q2 recently and installed the app on iphone 11. while using the ZY Play app to shoot / record the videos get stored in the app. once i import the content and try to edit in Premier Pro CC i dont get the video only audio is picked up, please advise what is the problem or is there any option which lets the recorded footage directly into the iphone memory. Quick question: I tried mine on my phone (poco f2 pro) and mom's galaxy A8+ 2018. The A8 sits perfectly in the clamp and is straight on its back against the foam on the clamp while the F2 Pro is a bit off at the top. I believe both phones are as thick as each other whien i put them side by side.

Wanah Dee same here gimbal goes crazy vibrating like mad and then gimbal shuts down dropping the phone really hard and 4 white flashing lights come on🤷🏼‍♂️

I just got mine today and played with it a bit, all the modes seems pretty smooth. Maybe play with how your phone's weight is distributed on the mount, as I noticed if the phone is balanced on the mount the motors does vibrate

Bought the Osmo Mobile 3 but the motors could not handle a simple wire attached to use the Shure MV88 mic and Potato Jet said that gimbal’s motors were more robust... Hope so! I’ll keep both but I need to know that at least one can handle an off camera/phone mic for better audio (even if only to create a base track where I may use external lavs and my H6 where audio is required for dialogue.)

Thank you for the video. After watching it I got so excited I ordered it. You forgot to mention it doesn't have zoom option and also, I still cant get the subject tracking work properly. I love the Zhiyun Smooth Q2 but it would have been better if it had a normal portrait mode(so it can be put on a tripod), a stronger application like the DJI MIMO, better object tracking, it should have a tucked in roll motor (so it can be put on a tripod), a mini tripod and a carry case, a zoom rocker (which would work on the native camera application and other applications like FILMIC pro), it should have collaborated with FILMIC pro like the DJI OSMO gimbals, gesture control, it should have a phoneGo mode where the gimbal reacts to movements really fast and counterweights. This is constructive criticism for the betterment of the product and company. Thank you.
