Hi! What lens do you have? And can we set the Sigma 18-35mm on the Crane V2 using a Panasonic G7?

How do I get my crane to tilt down & stay with that big round middle button to tilt up and down? I can get mine to tilt down but within 5 seconds of recording it bounces back up to default balanced position - straight ahead. I have to shoot a meadow of wildflowers tomorrow and need a slight tilt down towards the flowers as I walk or I’ll lose a portion of my film. Plz reply if you see this?? Again it will tilt down towards ground but won’t stay tilted down & bounces back up to default balance.

I use the ZY Play app too and cant get the gimbal to finally stop at the final point. It will instantly jump back to the default home position. Example i set point A to focus on a vase and then point B to a window. The damn thing wont finish and stay at that window. It will immediately JUMP to the start position. Any help from someone here who knows how to make it stay at the last waypoint/position being set ?

Hi, can you help me , when i tilt with my cam downwards to the lens down kind of position, the motor starts humming and i can feel a mild but sure buzz vibration going on. It happens only when i use the joystick n tilt the camera nose down. The vibration picks up as the nose tilts more and more. Ant then if i leave the lens in that nose down position the vibration hum is non stop, until i raise the cam back to level position. The hum occurs in no other position including lens tilted full upwards to ceiling. Balancing is done correctly on all axis and in dead mode the came is able to stand still in virtually any pose (indicating perfect balancing). I also tried setting the motor strength to middle and low using the Zhiyun Assistant app and same results in any setting.

So i just got this thing... I'm super confused lol. Few questions 1. Is the manfrotto release plate something you recommend? I clearly don't have one since I'm asking lol 2. Have you stabilized it with any of the Voigtlander lenses? I own the 17.5 Voigtlander lens which is 235g heavier than your 12-35mm. 3. Do you typically shoot in auto or manual focus? 4. What f Stop is safe to use this on the GH5? 5. Do you usually use this with the screen in or out? I'm just curious about these things before I set it up for the first time.

Hi do you leave in camera stabilization on when using the crane?

Dumb questions - but where do you plug in the micro-usb cable to charge the battery? The instructions say not to plug the charger into a wall. Does that mean I can't use a usb plug? If it's so delicate - then where would be a safe place to plug it in? I'm supposed to avoid metal - and wood too since it's flammable? What's left? glass?

Sir nice info. I just today receved my zc v2. I balance it all the way with camera n lense attached to it. Then i powered it on. As per manual battery is full blinking blue in color with 4 times. But it didn't take it's initial position as i found in other videos. Pls suggest what's wrong or missing?

Just purchased this Gimbal (v2) and when I do an up or down tilt it holds for about 3 seconds then releases and the camera drops to the horizontal position again. I am using a GH4 with 12-35mm lens. Have you had this problem or is it a faulty unit, any suggestions would be much appreciated.
@CraigBeckta7 жыл бұрын
You may want to adjust the settings with the phone app. Also make sure it is perfectly balanced prior to turning it on.
@vincentoliver7 жыл бұрын
I re-balanced the camera and also did the initialization process (page 21 in manual) and all seems OK now. I think it was a balance issue. Thank you for your reply.

No problem, I was also going to suggest following the calibration procedure but it seems like you already did. Glad it's working for you.

I have the same set up and I found that under certain conditions the bottom of the camera plate (the part of the crane) scratches on the top of the first axis on the handle. If you put the camera higher, it gets so much out of balance. So if you tilt it, it will drop forward or backward. I will try a counterweight on the bottom of the plate so I can mount it higher. Do you have the same issue?

I'm planning on returning my OSMO+ and picking up one of these. The OSMO works great, but I don't like the camera on it. I prefer my Canon with the different lens options. Thanks for a great video. Subbed you. ( I just uploaded a video showing the difference between the OSMO and my Canon footage using a tripod for panning.)

Aren't there 3 modes when you single click? so double clicking is going through the modes making it seem its not responding to your desired mode?
@CraigBeckta7 жыл бұрын
1 click is lock mode another single click brings you back.
@justinviray7 жыл бұрын
Ill confirm when i get home as i have the gimbal as well. I recall reading it somewhere as well about 3 modes. Ill confirm when i get home to see what i find. I found this with a quick search www.coreyboland.com/blog/2017/4/30/the-zhiyun-crane-v2-the-peoples-gimbal Modes The gimbal features three modes. Pan-Following mode, Locking mode andfollowing mode. These can also be performed inverted. Inverting the gimbal is as easy as turning the pistol grip opposite the tilt motor quickly. To return, bring the handle back down in the same direction. Pan-Following mode - The gimbal will pan with twisting the handle but will not tilt without the joystick. This is the default mode once the gimbal turns on. Locking mode - All motors are locked in position but can be controlled via joystick. Pressing the mode button once from Pan-Following mode will bring the gimbal to Locking mode Following mode - The gimbal will follow your movements with tilt and pan. Double pressing the mode button from either of the other modes will bring the gimbal into Following mode. Triple tapping the mode button will bring the gimbal around 180 degrees to an unofficial "selfie" mode. Personally I use the Pan - Tilt following mode and the Pan - Following mode the most. I haven't personally found a use for the Locking mode.

Just tried it at home. After pressing it two clicks puts it in Full mode. To get out of it it's a single click. Double clicking doesn't seem to exit that mode or do anything. Hope that helps. Checked out the diagram on page 20. Wish I knew this on my vacation with this thing. Received it a day before my trip not knowing what modes it had. Packed everything except the manual.
