I have been shooting on the Weebill S for about four months, and recently, Feiyutech sent me this AK 2000S gimbal to test out. I want to compare it up against the Zhiyun weebill S. So you can see what you're going to get if you go for the more affordable Feiyu tech ak2000s. Both gimbals have their advantages, but overall I prefer the Weebill S over the AK2000S.

Why didn't you remove the slung handle in ak2000s when you do the size comparison?

The Pinoy Reviewer I should have gone in to more detail about this because it is not obvious that the handle has 3 screws you have to remove to take it off. For me, when it is put on it stays on if it needs any tool to get off. The chance of losing a screw on the go is not worth risking. Because if you lose one screw the handle is not stable and can't be used.

Thanks Peter for all practical infos you give on gimbals. Hard work and I appreciate. Thing is, I have not seen anywhere gimbals tested on some less "updated" cameras. I have got the bridge Lumix FZ2500/2000 and don't know if it can be properly balanced on the Weebill S. It would probably fit on a Crane 2 or 3, on a AK2000 (I have seen it fits), AK4000, AK4500 but these gimbals are too damn heavy for an old guy like me. Therefore I like the idea of Weebill S, AK2000S and maybe RSC2 if proper balance, can be achieved on the FZ2500/2000 i.e. without touching the rear tilt motor. Could you or anyone tell me if you have tested any of these on this camera ? I am getting nuts with that impossibility of testing : I don't have the bread to buy all these gimbals just to try ! Thanks a lot for all.

The only thing that's holding me back into buying the weebill s is its build quality. I've been seeing a lot of negative feedback on it regarding its locks and also the after sales BS support(not saying that Feiyutech is better; I haven't tried their after sales support either). If only weebill s has the build quality of ak2000s. Hoping Feiyutech will release their ak4000s. I believe they're revamping their gimbal line up. Any news on ak4000s?

Totaly right, the locks get loose, especially the one on the side. I mentioned this in one of my videos and used tape to hold it. I do not have any news about a AK4000S, but I tested the ak4000, and it is defiantly a step in the right direction. Much easier to balance than the ak2000s.

Zhiyun has refused service quite often if you look at the FB group. I tried to get service myself and failed

You said the Feiyu Tech is $185 cheaper, but you forgot to mention that you are showing the Weebill S with another $100 worth of accessories in addition to the focus motor but the 2000s only with what it comes with. Maybe you fotgot...your Weebill S has two quick releases on it at $20 EACH, an extra tripod handle at $32, the monitor arm $42, the extra handle, $56....wait, holy crap, you showed it with at least $175 worth of extra accessories, making the Weebill S basically twice the cost of the 2000s

DkGaston yes, that is correct. I did not remove my accessories from the Weebill S. But this does not change the fact that the AK2000S is still a cheaper option and you will save a lot when buying this gimbal, which is excellent if you don't need it to take hefty loads. Wich gimbal do you prefer?

What about the feiyutech g6 max for packpacking seems pretty small i have the regular ak2000 to big to throw in my backpack iam on the fence with the weebil s ak2000s or g6max i mostly use panasonic g7 my heaviest lense is a rokonin 85mm t1.5

AK2000S works with Nikon D5100 camera in stable function,cable control function and wifi control function can not achieve now.

Definitely the Weebill S, Your camera will to high to fit on the Feiyutech with a heavy lens. You won't have that problem with the Weebill S.

Is the Weebill S working fine for you after 1.92 firmware and later? I have huge issues thats make the gimbal useless. I copy past my post from Zhiyun community tab here so you know whats not working: "UPDATE: Firmware 1.95 - Still same bug.. I am sorry, but the bug that appeared for me and alot of other users with firmware 1.92 is still there, and that makes the gimbal impossible to use in a proper way. This is a small demonstration of the problem: kzbin.info/www/bejne/opmrkH-Yithmi5Y When return from underslung mood to normal upright and do any panning at the same time, it will stop the panning and then get stuck at a wrong angle. Zhiyun please, did you not see my first post when you relesed the 1.92, and then I write about it again in 1.93.."

Very weird beacuse its a huge bug/issue that make this gimbal more or less useless for all of us experience this.. I have been in contact with Zhiyun, but so far, months later there is still not a new firmware. I suggest all user who have problem with this bug to write and let them know, I still not sure they understand this is "bad"..

Bad review, I expected to see more details how the camera stays on it and in the end you didn't provide full feature and information of them. I found more details on other KZbinr which in fact convinced me for ak2000s. In fact ak2000s you can easily make it portable and you didn't said in your review which for me looks that you wanted to promote Zhiyung or you didn't prepared enough for your review.

Yes it seems that it works. I saw various reviews and it works with a power bank. So indeed this review wants to promote the Zhiyung gimbal which for me looks very disappointing because if someone will look just at this review in a hurry for sure will take the wrong decision due to lack of information.
