Xue Yang is the best character in my opinion. He's a mirror image of what everyone perceives Wei Wuxian to be. His life is so similar yet still so very different. Compared to Wei Ying, Xue Yang had nothing but resentment in his life. The things he craved in life slowly became unimportant and strength and satisfying his pain through violence became his only escape. This arc was so sad because I'd like to believe that Xiao Xichen managed to forgive Xue Yang after his passing.

Ikr he didnt have a jiang chen to show him brotherly love he didnt have ah li to show him both motherly and a sisters love he didnt have a lan zhan to protect him.He was all alone meddling wth this cruel world. According to me he is the most sympathetic character.If he had someone to guide him his life would have changed😔. He is my favourite villian

I kinda feel like Xue Yang legit loved Xingchen. He has these protective streaks and he shows his true self more than with anyone else. I know the whole relationship is built on a giant lie, but I always wonder if Song Lan didn&t show up, if they would have just bromanced happily ever after.
