Yes u r absolutely right! ZS is worthy of this big fancy stage. This was performed celebrating New Year’s Eve. He was invited by 3 or 4 different station programs where he sang 2 songs each. All were so phenomenal!!!

It is holographic - In China, the budget for these shows are pretty big and it is not an uncommon thing at big shows and concerts. Hello Matt, thank you for reacting to Zhou Shen. You can call him By his English name Charlie if you want. His nick name is Shen Shen, walking CD Player, Siren, Zhou Shen Poison (incurable) and song killer. The last 2 nickname always cracked me up 😂 Charlie’ voice didn’t changed during his puberty in teens. When he was younger his voice higher pitched than normal. His voice went deeper as he grew older. After he graduated fro Ukraine. He studied a little in Chinese opera and voice acting. He usually mixed Bel Canto with modern pop or rocks. The first song is Please believe in a Dream, from the movie Jiang ZiYa. About a top commander got an order to banish a Demon Nine tail Fox that threatened human kind. Later he found out that demon fox was actually innocent little fox girl. Decided to go against his orders and do what is right. The commander got the blunt while protecting the little demon. He got sucked into the portal that was meant for the little fox girl. In the last line of the song is ‘When you see man from afar, you’ll learn to love the world again.’ I guessed Charlie means to say over time pass as pain lessen, we will learn to love and trust again.

To tell you a bit of his background. He got bullied when he was young just because his voice didn't change when puberty came but that was not his choice and people called him names..... because that, he didn't sing in front of people for a long time and he even tried to tone down his voice when he speaks. It takes a long time for him to accept his own voice again and gets where he is now. He has studied Dentistry in Ukraine when he was young but because of the language barriers, he changes to studied Classical music there instead. His goal is to combine Classical and Pop music together to introduce to those who didn't know what Classical music is. His vocal range is very wide and his breath control is very good. He is a polite, funny, and humble guy. He can sing at least over 12 different languages. He can even sing 6 different voices in one song. His music has so many different genres. If you are willing to dig into his performances, you will be amazed by his talents. A lot of music can heal people's bodies but not many can heal people,'s, souls. Zhou Shen's music is one of them that can heal your souls. A lot of Dimash's fans also recommend Zhou Shen to those reactors who reacted to Dimash to react. Some people compare to both of them and I think they both are great performers but with different styles. Nothing to compare to. Thank you for reacting to Zhou Shen's performance.

Listening to his opera-like performances is a great intro to Zhou Shen (Memory) (Time to Say Goodbye). He received a standing ovasion fr the whole orchestra when he rehearsed earlier the same day... Here is a little background into Zhou Shen and why songs like This is Me and Monsters is important to him. Zhou is short in stature. Always has been. His voice has always had a high, feminine sound too. As a result, throughout school, he was ridiculed and bullied. Asians have something called "face" and it is rated very high in their cultures. Losing face is one of the worst things for them to experience. Anyway, Zhou realized that he could never become a "pop star" because of these things and others. After high school, he went to the Ukraine to study to become a dentist. While there, he found people who supported him, enjoying his high vocals, and singing abilities. After his first year in dentistry school, he was encouraged to change schools and majors, studying music. After university, the producers of China Voice discovered him. They asked him multiple times to tryout on the show, but he was very shy and humble, not valuing his abilities. He finally said yes, and his opening song, HuanYan, not only blew away the judges, it shot him into fame with Chinese audiences. Since that time, he has demonstrated his language skills, diversity in genres, and has become very successful working in animation voice overs, and the video game development industry singing opening songs. I hope this helps in your appreciation to Zhou Shen. As you discover his long resume of music, that appreciation grows. My personal favs from him are "Ring the Doorbell", a haunting cabaret styled song, and Ba La Beng Ba fashioned after different characters of a video game where the prince battles a dragon, finds acceptance from the king to marry the princess.
