Thank you so much for your videos, they are very informative and helpful. I'm trying to craft a halo for my cosplay but I'm a bit lost on the COB leds, are power banks able to light them? Do you think a 6000 mAh one would be enough to light a 40cm strip for a couple of hours or should I go for a better one? :')
@Zibartas Жыл бұрын
You should check out my newest vid about USB-C PD - it is possible to power COB LEDs using a PD-capable power bank that can push out 12V! :)

Wonderful work! Definitely gonna try and make my own! Out of curiosity, what kind of battery do you recommend for this build, especially if one wants this to light up for a while?
@Zibartas4 жыл бұрын
I'd go with something convenient like a AA battery holder - cheap and easy to swap and can be quite compact too :) you can get more exotic for sure but simplicity and reliability will make more sense in the long run ;)

Incredible.but I'm curious did you put the lights on top of the halo or in the bottom of the halo?

Hi ! Did you used CoB 12V, or 24V ? Because i cant find a USB-C PD that go above 20V :/

I have a project Idea, can you make a halo with the use of liquid nitrogen and magnets that utilize quantum levitation and quantum locking? But, make it applicable to wear. I suggest a 2 Part build. Pt1 would rest on your head with the magnets on a magnetic base crown-shaped circle scaled down so that it's hidden in your hair and is not noticeable. Now Pt2 would use the YBCO compound which can be cooled in a liquid nitrogen bath for longer levitation until it becomes a superconductor that's placed in a magnetic field to levitate utilizing the Meissner Effect. However, if Pt1 is not plausible, maybe you could attach it to a mask/helmet for better functionality. Also, can you make the halo glow with a bioluminescent algae liquid? You can make the algae glow more consistently with an increase of luciferin and changes in the environment, such as a drop in the salinity level, can force bioluminescent algae to glow longer, allowing more energy to be created in the form of light. I know you made a halo 4 years ago but I want to make a halo without the use of a rod of some sort. I lost a bet with a friend and now have to go to a one-time cosplay event (I didn't want to partake) however, since I'm going I figured I'd go all out just this once. Going as Angel Devil from Chainsaw Man.

Did you use the Chip on Board LEDs for this? In a different video you said they aren't really flexible so I was wondering how you got the circle shape if you can't bend them.
@Zibartas4 жыл бұрын
Yes I did! I think broke one LED during testing, but I managed to bend at least two without cracking the internal connections :) Trick is to be very gentle and patient. Bend it over a rounded surface - if you use only your fingers you might make too tight of a curve and break it.
