There were so many world class players in that game. If Madrid had Cafu or Thuram, they probably would’ve won the CL that year instead of AC Milan. Juventus exposed Madrid’s defensive problems and caused a shock in the Semis.

I have very fond memories of this game. Those number 5s on the pitch: Zidane and Redondo...wow! What great players they were! I wish Zidane my favorite player had played with Redondo my favorite defensive midfielder. 2 elegant and intelligent footballers with silky skills. But when Zidane joined Real Madrid Redondo went to Milan :(

Seems like Zidane had always this special connection with Guti, everytime when they were on the pitch at the same time it was some magic on the field.
