Priceless! Great to see Zizou taking those early steps to greatness. This young no#10 had replaced Cantona in the national team and was being compared to Platini. He was expected to fill the boots of 2 of France's all-time greats...and I think we can all agree that he did a fine job in the end 😎

This was one of Zidane's best games with Les Bleus prior to his move to Juventus👌🏾 A budding Zidane displayed his exquisite technique and read of the game that we were all accustomed to seeing over the years.

One of my favorite points of your videos is taking what happened after Zidane’s passes. They can tell us those passes were effective or not. Many other videos are lack of them. Loved this upload. I hope now the ignorant people would stop saying zidane was a late bloomer. Czech 1994 Romania 1995 and Portugal 1996 he was absolutely world class. Also Bordeaux matches as well. In fact I had faint memories of this match here he was almost Euro 2000 level. Euro 1996 he was clearly suffering from car crash after effects..He was awesome from start to end. Just a few lacklustre matches for the NT. Maybe against Romania euro 96 Greece euro 2004

A lot of it is down to zidane not being a brazilian or Argentinian or Dutch who would get instant hype and notice he changed that by making France win the World Cup and now french players get hype and attention very quickly
